Hello! Just a quick question/feature request. I got the LDAP plugin working just fine and was wondering if it would be possible to replace the statically set LDAP bind user with the user who is attempting to login? I currently have an LDAP Bind user called bind.user in my domain. It is just the user who is used to read LDAP and it does not have permission to do much else on the domain, nor log into the FOG webpage. It is possible to replace that with the domain user who is currently logging into the FOG webpage? Thanks!

RE: FOG 1.5.4 Windows 7 UEFI Image Capture
I figured it out - I forgot you cannot try to take a new image over an existing image. We already had taken an image with the exact same folder name and when FOS tried to move the files, it failed. When I deleted the old folder, the image capture worked perfectly. My bad!

RE: FOG 1.5.4 Windows 7 UEFI Image Capture
I looked at that link. I changed the timezone on the server and in FOG to use UTC. It was still throwing the same error. I changed the FTP password to the password of the ‘fog’ user and it complained about a similar, but different error. It complained about the password being wrong and the timezone is wrong.

I double checked it was set to the correct timezone. Changed it, saved settings, changed it back, saved settings, attempted to take image, and it failed with the same error.

FOG 1.5.4 Windows 7 UEFI Image Capture
Hello all!
We are attempting to capture a new Windows 7 UEFI image. We keep receiving this error.
I have double checked the time on the FOG server and on the Dell laptop and both are correct. I have also edited the php.ini file to manually force the correct timezone, rebooted httpd, and that did not work. I did not see a mention of timezone in the ftp_put function call in the fogftp.class.php file. The image definition on the FOG webpage does use the Multiple Partition Image - Single Disk (Not Resizable) Image Type option. We have created a Windows 10 UEFI image and its capture worked just fine. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks all!

FOG Popdown box not working in IE
Hello!
When doing certain things within the FOG webpage, a popdown will appear asking to confirm the user’s password. However, due to certain security restrictions at the company I work at, that popdown no longer works in IE. Does anyone know what security setting may be affecting it? It works in Edge, Chrome, Firefox, but those browsers are not allowed in the enterprise environment.
Thanks!

RE: Image Replication
Yes, you can manually rsync the images over. I’m doing the replication between nodes so my coworkers who know nothing of Linux can synchronize images across FOG installations without asking me to do it.
-
RE: Image Replication
Well, I’ll be! I think that worked. I could have sworn I had the same configuration before, but I guess not. That’s my fault.
Since it’s over a WAN link, it’ll take over an hour to move this one image. I’ll keep an eye on it, but it seems the primary FOG is replicating.
Thank you very much for the assistance! It’s much appreciated!

RE: Image Replication
Okay. I changed the secondary storage Node to the primary’s storage Group.
And, the image files exist on the primary server. I’ll also delete the image definition on the secondary server to see if that helps it along, too.
-
RE: Image Replication
The 2nd box has only itself as a storage Node. The primary box does have the images still on it; I verified with du -h and they are the correct size.
-
RE: Image Replication
Okay - I’ll make a storage node-only install in a few minutes and give it a shot.
With that in mind, is it feasible to keep troubleshooting the current issue with the full servers?
-
RE: Image Replication
Yes! I remember seeing that upon first installation. I guess that’s what I need to do, huh?
That’s my bad. I reckon I was trying to turn a full FOG install into a storage node.

RE: Image Replication
I created an image entry on the destination server that gives the name, the OS, the compression, location of files, et cetera.

Image Replication
Source & Destination FOG version 1.5.0
Hello all! I am attempting to set up replication between two independent FOG servers across a WAN link. I am not having much luck. I have added the destination’s storage Group and storage node to the source server, I have enabled two images to replicate, I have assigned those images to the correct storage Group - the ‘default’ storage Group of the source server where they reside and created blank image entries on the destination server.
I get this output from the /var/log/fog/fogreplicator.log from the source server:

Does anyone know anything about the mobile / quick access option in version 1.5.0?
Thanks!
