• RE: After Ver 1.0.0 update Blank Screen
Whats in the error logs?

And you’re running Fedora 10 and another on CentOS 5.10? I too like to live dangerously.
I down-graded from version 1.0.0 back to version 32, the reason I was upgrading is because FOG bzimage doesn’t boot newer Lenovo B350 all in one computers. I was hoping newer bzimage might work with the newer computers.
I’ve been using FOG to image desktops at our school for about 5 years. It would be nice to upgrade to a newer OS, but currently I don’t have an extra server with storage.
P.S. I did include an error log in the first post,

• After Ver 1.0.0 update Blank Screen

Hi Fog Users,

FOG is running on, CentOS release 5.10
Linux 2.6.18-371.6.1.el5 on i686

After I upgraded to V 1.0.0 I have a blank screen when I browse to http://<myhost>/fog/management/index.php

Also I see an error in httpd logs,
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ‘)’ in /var/www/html/fog/commons/init.php on line 33

Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks,
Rick

• RE: Green Fog - Not Working

I checked the client computer and the log file says “green fog failed to connect to fog server” I know the fog server is running and I turned off the firewall on the fog server for testing but still get the same message. Any ideas why the client can’t talk to the fog server? I can ping the server from the client

Server - Fog .32
Client - OS Windows 7

Here is part of the log;

• Green Fog - Not Working

Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to get green fog working this is what I have so far.
In the FOG System Settings Menu I have FOG Service - Green Fog set to 1
In the Configure Green FOG Service Module I have Green FOG Enabled checked and created an event to shutdown.
I then choose a group under Group Management and then service settings. When I drop the menu under Set Green FOG on all hosts to: enable, and click update the setting goes back to not configured.

That’s the problem, the setting goes back to not configured, and I haven’t been able to figure out why.
And of course the computers in the group don’t shut off.

Hope someone can help,
Thanks
Rick

• Lenovo Hardware Issue during boot

I wasn’t sure where to post this information but here it is.

Box;
Centos 5.8
Fog 3.2

New Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 laptops;
When laptops are starting from fog boot up a warning is issued.
Acerhdf unknown Bios version (a bunch of numbers), Aborting Lenovo (more numbers)

After 30 seconds or so laptops continue to boot and run FOG menu or upload/download images (yippee)

I thought someone might like to know about this hardware warning.

Hope it helps,
