    • RE: m.2 PCIe SSD not recognised in FOG

@Tom-Elliott Thanks Tom, have updated and performed an upload using Single Disk Resizable and it uploaded without any errors.

I also then performed a deployment task of the Image and it was successful, windows boots up fine etc… just saw it come up with an error about changing the hostname.

@Tom-Elliott Hi Tom, running that command seems to have resolved the issue and it was able to successfully upload the image to the FOG server. This is while the image was set to Multiple Partition Image - Single Disk (Not Resizable)

When I changed it to single disk - resizable, the below error appeared…

@Tom-Elliott Thanks Tom. I’m currently interstate for this week so once I’m back at our main office next week, I will perform the testing.

@Tom-Elliott I did leave it running for 5 mins but it still had not progressed on either one except Raw.

    • RE: m.2 PCIe SSD not recognised in FOG

      Hi Tom,

Got the Dell tech to replace the motherboard today.

Latest Fog trunk now recognises the nvme SSD.

When the Image is set to Single Disk - Resizable, it hangs at…

      * Saving original patition table......................

When Image is set to Multiple Partition Image - Single Disk (Not Resizable), it hangs at…

      * Now FOG will attempt to upload the image using Partclone
      * Processing Hard Disk: /dev/nvme0n1

When Image is set to Raw Image, it starts the upload…

I’m fine with using Raw Image if that’s what works. 🙂

      Hi all,
Apparently there’s a delay with the replacement motherboard for the new XPS 13.
So you guys can most likely close this case for now as I noticed that @Arrowhead-IT has confirmed that it’s resolved in the latest trunk.
      Cheers

    • RE: Bug: Location selection when performing Full Host Registration

Further to this, if say I have 2 locations displaying…

      ID# 2 - Melbourne
      ID# 1 - Sydney

Pressing ‘1’ just keeps prompting for the location ID.

If I enter ‘11’, that then progresses.

Same if I were to press just ‘2’, it won’t work, but pressing ‘22’ will progress.

    • Bug: Location selection when performing Full Host Registration

      Hi guys,

In the latest trunk, there appears to be a bug with Location selection.

When it come to selecting a location, if I enter the number for the location I want, it doesn’t seem to accept it. It just flashes back like as if I entered a number that is incorrect and won’t let me proceed any further.

      Running on CentOS 6.7
      Trunk 5927

      Cheers

    • RE: HP Z640 - NVME PCI-E Drive

      Hi guys,

I did update the inits with the ones below and I noticed an odd behaviour where I was imaging a standard notebook with a standard SSD. After it had completed the partclone process, and it went through resizing the partition etc… rather than restarting the PC to boot up normally, it immediately restarted the partclone download process all over again.

After reverting back to the original inits, this didn’t happen.

Just thought I’d let you know.

@Arrowhead-IT Thanks for letting me know.
Dell haven’t yet fixed up the notebook as yet. Still waiting on parts.
Have updated to those inits. Will test as soon as the notebook is fixed and report back.

@Sebastian-Roth No I haven’t as yet sorry. I went to try that today but the notebook will no longer boot up lol. Won’t even POST.

So have contacted DELL to organise a replacement. Will let you know how it goes after that.
