Issues Downloading images
I am having an issue downloading images. I recently reran the installer to get the latest FOG Client and now when I try and download an image to a system I am getting “mount: mounting 172.25.5.80:/images2/images/ on /images failed: Permission Denied”
I have two storage nodes the default one that gets set up when you install FOG and a second one that is an external drive that mounts to \images2. Nothing has changed other than re running the installer to get the new FOG Client.

RE: Update Fog Client.
@Wayne-Workman Thanks I will try that, but now that you mentioned it I remember that the client didn’t download when I was having issues that you and Tom worked on for me. I shall see what happens.

Update Fog Client.
Forgive me if it is out on the forums or Wiki somewhere, but I couldn’t find it.
How does one make sure they have the latest Fog Client without updating to the latest svn release? I am running svn 3501 and have the latest Client installed on my machines, but when a user logs in they get a Windows Popup stating that the FOG Service stopped. I want to update just the FOG Client to try and alleviate this.
Thanks

RE: adding ISO
@mmiat What FOG version are you running? What Linux Distro? Where are you getting the error above? i.e. are you getting to the normal FOG Boot Menu then choosing Advanced Menu fails?

RE: adding ISO
Try this: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki//index.php/Include_any_ISO_in_the_FOG_Bootmenu There should also be a Forum post out there that I used. I haven’t found it yet though.

RE: Fog captures ENTIRE hard drive
No, apparently there is something going on that I haven’t run into before. List the version of FOG you are running and maybe some pictures of the screens leading upto and including the start of the Partclone, along with a screen capture of the Image setup page for this Image. I don’t have much experience troubleshooting FOG so I will take a look but probably one of the more informed on the forums will take a look.
I created a Win 7 x64 VM that I use as a generic image for all my machines I rarely pull an image from a hard machine.

RE: Fog captures ENTIRE hard drive
Is Secure boot turned on in the BIOS of the machine being captured? I know when I was playing around with Windows 8 it was capturing a RAW image and I think that was the cause. That or the drive was encrypted because of BitLocker.

RE: Issue with Fog Server after running updates on Ubuntu 14.04
I had this happen and had to restart mysql.
I think the command is: sudo service mysql restart

RE: Moving/Migrating Image
Try this it has worked for me in similar instances.

VMWare Workstation 11 and Windows 8
Has anybody set up a Windows 8 VM in Workstation 11? I am trying to set it up the same way I did my Win 7 VM’s.
I used these instructions, https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/365/windows-7-deployment-fog-sad2-driver-tool, which seem to be missing the initial investory of the VM, it was listed before the install of Win 7.
When I attempt to do the initial Inventory of the system everything goes okay for a few seconds and then I get a kernal panic and the VM freezes.
I have tried with both Legacy and EFI. All my other VMs running Win 7 work fine.

RE: Moving Images and changing image location
Tom has fixed the issues and I am 100% up and functioning

RE: Moving Images and changing image location
Well since no one has anything further to try I am going to wipe the system and start over. Thanks for trying all.

RE: Moving Images and changing image location
It is a broken link:

Link Target: …/init.d/vsftpd -
RE: Moving Images and changing image location
If no one else has any ideas I might need to just wipe the system and start over, but I am going to hold off until this afternoon. I have several systems to set up before the end of the week. Thanks for all the work Wayne.

RE: Moving Images and changing image location
Anybody have any other ideas? If I can’t solve both the blank FOG Homepage and having the images in the new location by early next week I will just have to completely redo my FOG machine.

RE: Moving Images and changing image location
MySQL is running and .fogsettings has the password set properly

RE: Moving Images and changing image location
This is a snippet of the bottom of the log:
Any more ideas about getting the page to show properly, rather than just white? Should I do what Wayne suggested?
