    • RE: fog install ubuntu problem

OK i understand what you’re saying i guess my next question sis how do i reset FOG to the original installation state. By that i mean how do i clear all remnants of it so that when the install script is finished it give’s me the option of registering via the /fog/management web ui. SO far I’ve been using Virtualbox and every time i want to start fresh it means installing a new machine. It’s cumbersome but it’s all i know how to do.

I have googled this but i couldn’t find a decent suggestion.

Can i simply delete the FOGProject folder, download it and start from scratch?

      EDIT!

My point is how do i reset the webui so it asks me to register again and so all previous configurations are wiped from the system…

    • Ubuntu vmlinuz.efi missging

Hi guys, before i begin let me say thanks to the fog project. I’ve managed to pxe boot to windows 10 and 8.1 Granted it took me 2 weeks of searching but i eventually found a post that answered my questions.

BUT!!! now I’m stuck with setting up an image, to be more precise an Ubuntu 22.04 iso. I’ve followed the fog project forums guides to the letter but when it comes time to issuing this command
      “cp /images/os/ubuntu/Desk22/casper/vmlinuz.efi /tftpboot/os/ubuntu/Desk22” i get a response telling me vmlinuz.efi was not found…

If anyone has a reasonably quick answer to this i’d be forever in your debt.

      Hit me back!!!

    • fog install ubuntu problem

Hi! Ok i’ve just spent quite a while installing FOG POroject on Ubuntu 22.04. After i finally got the prerequisites sorted i was left with installing the installfog.sh file. that was the easy part.

I’ve looked it up but i cannot for the life of me figure out what to do next. I know there’s an image folder on my root. Should i just place the ISO file there or should i decompress it?
I can do this on a windows virtualbox machine but i’d simply prefer to use ubutunu.

      i’d really appreciate any help.
      Thanks!

    • RE: ubuntu server fog iso setup.

      @george1421
Thanks georgr1421. I’m not at home now but I’ll give it a go later. Thank you for responding to my question. Just one more quick one. What’s the command for restarting the fog server.

    • ubuntu server fog iso setup.

hi guys! I have looked this up online at least 100 times but it can’t get any further.

Allow me to explain. I’m running VERSION=“24.04 LTS (Noble Numbat)” and I’ve downloaded and configured FogProject current.
I have run through the whole setup, this too went well. I can access the fogproject/management page via my browser. Now for the problem.Where or how do i place the bootable iso file? In particular kali-live iso.

This has literally consumed the last 3 days of my life, so obviously any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Regards:
