Uni-cast deployment problem
Hello, im running Fog .32 on ubuntu 12.04,
I have been imaging fine all along, my tftp quit the other day, so i brought that down and back up and was able to upload images. However now when i try to deploy an image i get an error
Can’t Read following volume file:
images/780/dlp2.img.001
Enter another file path or directory.
I have tried this with 3 different images and created a new image and I’m still getting the same error.
Does any one know a cause or solution for this problem?

Moving Fog Server
Hello all,
So I’m moving my fog server to a faster computer because I had it on a really old shitty laptop that is dying.
I have all of my data stored onto a usb hard drive, is there anyway I can just merge this usb with my new server and set it to have the same IP to have no hickups?

RE: No Kernels listed under > Other information > Kernel Updates
So it wasn’t my proxy because i have proxy disabled while im browsing with firefox, and it still doesn’t display the kernels. I have looked everywhere for a solutions, but still no luck. Does anyone know of a fix?

RE: No Kernels listed under > Other information > Kernel Updates
Sorry about posting twice I posed my post than i did a search and noticed this one.
EDIT:
I turned off my proxy and it is still displaying the same thing

RE: No Kernels listed under > Other information > Kernel Updates
I am having the same issue
-
Kernel Select menu is blank

As you can see in the image above, it doesn’t show all the kernels like i have seen in all the guides on how to change your kernel to make it work with certain models of computers. I set up another fog server the same way i set up mine in another school district and all of the kernels appeared in that one. Can someone tell me what is going on, or if I am just stupid and not doing something right.

RE: Computers won't boot to PXE menu
Alright… I’ll do a little research and see how hard it is to move it to something a little faster
-
RE: Computers won't boot to PXE menu
How hard is it to move my fog server to a new machine?
-
RE: Computers won't boot to PXE menu
I have a feeling that it is because I put my fog server on such a slow computer. It is installed on a Dell L attitude d620 with a 2G of RAM.
As for the error im not in the office right now but it says something like “found pxe boot menu (we think)” Than it will take forever to boot to the pxe menu if it does
-
Computers won't boot to PXE menu
So when I am either uploading or downloading an image no other computers in my network will make it past tftp server. Not allowing other computers to boot to the pxe menu. This only happens when I am imaging is there a setting I can change so this won’t happen?
Thanks,
Austin -

RE: Help with domain joing
I’m sorry i miss typed that in my post, my setting have it stored as domain\administrator
edit: update. I took a 7010 windows 7 out of the domain and restarted it and fog added it back in.??! But it still won’t add in a 390 running 7 or a Lat e5530 running 7. Needless to say I am very confused

RE: Sysprep Problem
If you want to use Sysprep with an unattend.xml, you have to run a batch script, in which you specify the location of the unattend.xml. Starting Sysprep via the GUI will always run the default Sysprep process.
For example, create a batch file with the following content:
@echo off
cd c:\windows\system32\sysprep
sysprep /oobe /generalize /shutdown /unattend:C:*path to the unattend.xml*\unattend.xml

I don’t use a .bat file I just call it from command prompt and I point to the unattend but it is still not working right.
-
Sysprep Problem
After several trial and error attempts I finally got my sysprep the way i wanted it. I sysprepped a 7010 and uploaded it to the fog server. Prior to doing this I saved the unattend.xml to a flash drive so i could use it on other machines. When I copy and paste the Unattend.xml off the the flash drive onto a C:\windows\system32\sysprep folder it copies; however, when i try and view the unattend file it says that my path is incorrect and than when I run sysprep i just runs the default settings. Can someone please help me with my problem
Thanks,
Austin
