G’day All
I run a small computer business (1 Tech = Me) and I want to set up a system that will do the following in my workshop.
AD-Hoc Install a System
1. Load a system from a selection of images (xp,Vista, Win7)
2. Load Software (Office, Adobe, etc)
3. Load windows updates
As I read it FOG should be able to do this with one arm tied behind it’s back. Though I’m not sure how easy it would be to put a computer on the table and attach an “image” and set of snap-ins to it.??
Repair work
[]Easily backup new computers when they arrive (Fall Back position)
[]Restore those backups (If I mess-up a computer when fixing it)
[]Extract files from the backup (To restore data after a computer system reload)
[]Mount an Image from a windows computer to run programs on the data (read the registry, etc)
These are the things I’m not sure of. It looks like it should be able to but I’d like to be sure before I set up everything.
I think it’s a great program but I don’t want to spend a lot of time trying ot get it to do what I want IF it can’t do it. I’ve already been down that road with a few other “systems” I don’t want to mention.
Thanks in advance for any help!
