Thanks Tom, had almost givin up on getting these Yoga’s to work in FOG.

Using Tom Elliot’s latest kernel (used wiki to make it computable with version 0.32)

I got this almost working. I enabled CDC Ethernet Support in the kernel found in (Device Drivers > Network device support > USB Network Adapters > Multi purpose USB Networking Framework > CDC Ethernet Support)
It seems to load a driver compatible with the RTL8153 but does not configure it in /etc/networking/interfaces. If I go in debug mode and add the following lines auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp in /etc/networking/interfaces it seems to work.

Not sure way this is not written in when the driver for the card is being loaded.

When booting into Fog.

I believe the problem is with the driver in the kernel. I have checked if the Realtek RTL8153 usb Ethernet controller is loaded in the kernel and it is. But for some reason it just don’t seem to load.

Any chance this will be in 0.33 or are we realistically looking at 0.34.

Is your disk formatted with ext4, fog 0.32 does not support ext4. version 0.33 will but it has not been released yet. A pre-beta version can be down loaded from [url]http://freeghost.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/freeghost/[/url] but remember it’s pre beta certain things may not work.

In the fog web Ui under Other information > Fog setting, you should see, FOG_STORAGENODE_MYSQLUSER
FOG_STORAGENODE_MYSQLPASS. try contecting to your mysql data base using these settings.

Check if u have got any hidden partitions or extended partitions or unallocated space at the start of this disk.

Boot the PC up in Gparted, or fog debug and run the command fdisk -l and look at the layout of the disk. If you’re doing a xp resizable image you should only have one partition.

Try enabling Port fast on your switches.
