Ok, well… I’m a little bit ashamed now. It was my own stupidity.
I thought it takes the DMI field when pressing “Add Association”, but you can, or must change the DMI field with the “Update Settings” button. Just tested, Capone works like butter! Very cool.

Capone problems
Hello community,
I’ve got a problem with capone. I’ve assigned the chassis type, because this is the option where the systems are different. When I go to the pxe menu then and press capone, it loads the init.gz and stuff but says then:"Looking up DMI field…Key value: American Megatrends.
So it take the BIOS-vendor as key, but I’ve nowhere assigned this, only the chassis type. How could this come?
To make Capone run, I’ve followed the steps in this thread: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/capone-and-fog-0-32-not-working-errors.192/Maybe someone had the same problem and knows that to do. Help would be appreciated, thanks!

Trying to deploy Solaris with Raw Image method
Hello everyone,
I’ve got a problem. When I try to deploy an image with the Raw Image method, the system starts - then, after 2-3 seconds it says task completed and reboots. I’ve uploaded the image also via Raw Image method, it seems like this was succesful (on the FOG-Server I have the file, but it wasn’t in a directory like the others images).
So, is this a common problem with the Raw Image mode? Or am I doing something wrong? Maybe it’s not possible do image a Solaris-system, I don’t know.
Thx for help,
Cheers!

RE: How To: Make progress bars appear for multiple-partition tasks
The Tutorial explains everything I need to know, so it’s all fine
I just didn’t see Lee’s link. -
RE: How To: Make progress bars appear for multiple-partition tasks
Thank you, Jason!
I should use this good Wiki more often.Edit: No, I didn’t go through the tutorial yet. Because I’m a little bit under pressure, I’ve just asked how to modify it in this forum. I’ll use your link now, thank you.

RE: How To: Make progress bars appear for multiple-partition tasks
Hello,
How can I change the “fog” file within the init.gz? Do I have to extract the init.gz and edit the file? This is what I’ve tried so far, but when I want to open the extracted init file it just shows me strange symbols. -
Black screen while trying to upload an image
Hello FOG community,
I have a problem. When I try to upload an image from a host, the display turns into standby modus and the screen becomes black. The PC is still running, but I can’t do anything. CTRL + ALT + DELETE for restarting the PC doesn’t work too, I have to kill it by pressing the power button for a while.
Does anyone know how that comes? Is it a common problem if something is wrong?
Thx for help!Cheers
EDIT: It seems that FOG does upload the image while the screen is black, although in the FOG “active tasks” it says “queued”. Pretty strange… Had a similar problem on another machine, where FOG told me that a chip or something was missed. There was just a black screen with this message, after a while the PC rebootet and the image was uploaded.
At the moment, I really need some help because I don’t know what the problem could be. There’s no way for me to see the progress or what FOG is doing.EDIT2: I’ve just found a similar thread here: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/blank-screen-after-pxe-menu-when-imaging-on-dvi-port-but-not-on-vga.421/
It’s exactly what he describes, but I am using Display Port and not DVI. -
RE: Adding .gho Images?
Ok, thanks for your answer BryceZ. That’s what I’m gonna do now.

Adding .gho Images?
Hello guys,
I’m playing around with FOG because we want to detach our Ghost server soon. So my question is, if I could somehow add or convert the .gho Images to make them work with the FOG server. Or do I have to set up a machine with the .gho Image and upload this to the FOG server, do deploy it then?
Thanks for every answer!
Cheers

RE: Supported operating systems
Yes, solaris uses ZFS. Nice that Win7 definitely works, but if Solaris doesn’t, I unfortunately can’t use this software.

RE: Supported operating systems
Hello,
I’ll use it to image workstations/servers. For example, I get an image from an existing system with Win 7. I save this image and hope then, to get it via PXE for all my other systems I want to set up.
So I’m more after the second

Supported operating systems
Hello community,
I am looking for a good PXE boot software for our company and just discovered FOG. I haven’t found yet a list of supported OS for the boot, I’ve just read something about Win XP, Win 7 and Vista.
I would need the software to boot Windows 7 and also Solaris, so I don’t know if Solaris is supported. Also, I’ll install the images on PC’s with RAID and I know, that some PXE boot softwares get trouble with this.So my questions: Does FOG support Solaris? And does it run smoothly on RAID systems?
Cheers,
