after deploying an image and upload it to the fog server and every thing was OK with no errors
i was checking the size on server form the fog interface and found it 0, while the size on client is 45gb
the image store folder is the same for old images, and old images are fine and i can read their size on server with no problem
i didn’t change anything in the ftp setting or the disk permissions
and the image is available on the image folder with the full size and i can see it there
please help

RE: DHCP failed booting to the PXE
@Sebastian-Roth i will do that
thanks a lot for help -
RE: DHCP failed booting to the PXE
@Sebastian-Roth yes, you were right
i found auto-negotiation enabled -
RE: DHCP failed booting to the PXE
@george1421 thanks a lot for the information
i just want to add that i switched a computer which was booting to one of the ports that was not
it still can boot
but my problem is with the computers that are far from the main switch
the STP is enabled and i will check ports one by one
and the auto negotiation is enabled too -
RE: DHCP failed booting to the PXE
@george1421 thx , the mini switches works and i will change config for the main switch
thx a lot for explanation -
RE: DHCP failed booting to the PXE
but why its happening ti the computers that far from the main switch while its not happening to the close ones ? that what made me think that the signal is degraded
by the way i am the network guy but i start work lately and i didnt know everything in the company
i just logged into the main switch its set to auto negotiation for all ports
i will change the config soon and check if it solve the problem or not
the STP is not enabled
thx again@Sebastian-Roth said in DHCP failed:
@saif No the signal is not degraded but your main switch (where the client is connected to) does some kind of magic. Possibly it’s just spanning tree. Tell your network guys to configure “port fast” for all the client ports. But it could be an auto-negotiation issue as well - then you’d need to set static port speed on that main switch for this client’s port.

RE: host restarted when deploy image
@george1421 thanks for the explaining
appreciate
i will try to test a non RAID disk and see -
RE: host restarted when deploy image
i tried to boot from ubunto or centos and it didnt show the RAID volume
-
RE: host restarted when deploy image
@george1421 yes its built in RAID, i will try to boot from live linux and check
BUT why do i need a RAID driver under windows? the FOG will make a clone for the volume and the windwos will not start to use this driver
thx -
RE: host restarted when deploy image
@Sebastian-Roth the RAID is configured and i have windows working on it
do you mean that FOG cant deploy RAID?
thx for reply -
RE: host restarted when deploy image
@Wayne-Workman said in host restarted when deploy image:
mdraid=true
thx, i tried but still restarting
