OK first up I know how to do this, have been doing it for years. I am running into a buggy problem with the client and probably just need to be pointed in the right direction.

I am attempting to push out the FOG client to all machines in the domain. some already have the client installed and that is fine. Problem I am running into is I cant find the 0.9.11 client even when I see it is pulling from C:\Program Files (x86)\Fog\tmp\

the file that is there is 0.9.7 when installed. Where this causes a problem is if 0.9.11 is already installed it will install 0.9.7 and cause it to have to version installed . This is problematic at best.

I tried downloading the client file from the server site but it s 0.9.7 also. Where can I get the 0.9.11 .mis installer?

Firstly it is working fine, I am just curious why I am seeing these errors from the client log. I am thinking it shouldn’t be throwing this esp since it runs twice and works on the second run:

@Tom-Elliott Still running like a champ. So I do greatly appreciate it. You allowed me to go home and not have ot manually dis-join and rejoin every machine in the building by hand

I keep resetting Encryption data but it isn’t helping at all. Now none of the client will work. Any ideas guys? I know it has something to do with that because if I do it, it will work for one rotation but then it just breaks and start sending invalid host certificate again.

@jbob IF the client is installed directly from the server why is it trying to update again once the service starts. That is what is breaking it that I can see. I might be wrong though.

Broke again, it is the client that is breaking it for whatever reason. I uninstalled the client rebooted and reinstalled. Once the client starts talking even though it is at 0.9.11 it starts updating it again. Here is the result:

Update, so I rolled back now the system is forcing client to update to client version 0.9.11 and breaking the whole system, anyone out there that can help would be greatly appreciated.

For now I have rolled back to the working version. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Yeah I will wait but I agree making a backup of those is not a bad idea at all.

@Wayne-Workman it is a cname but it works no problem, I can ping it from anywhere on the network. It is not however the server name. I was using IP addresses before but didnt like that. But this has been in place for about 8 months now

@Wayne-Workman Yeah it is very weird, its like it wants to work, but then it gets all confused. I did manually install the client. But I see where it is trying to run also.

Update:

So I went through the though that with the last error maybe it needed to be reinstalled on the client. Did that and then reset the encryption data on the host from the interface. That seems to clear the error, now I am getting different errors on that host. Please see below. Seems to run in circles.

Just verified the dates and times are matching perfectly

I mean I could roll back but I would rather move forward. The times seem to be just fine so far as I can tell. but my server is being slammed now due to bad requests.
