It does same thing even if they are connected directly. But my question was about "eth0’ which fails to come up. which port is this ?
Also would you mind explaining me the process that is going on right from pxe booting until the computer starts being imaged or captured ?

I use following 2 switches. I get same problem in both. but when same switches are used with in network fog server there is no problem. it only happens with one particular desktop and in isolated setup only.

George, I ran debug task as you requested. here is picture showing the result. It did pickup IP after step 2 so didn’t bother doing 3rd step. let me know what this means and what can i do to fix this.

RE: Imaging questions
No we do not have any requirement. we just want computers to work as normal with our modified image.
Thank you for quick response. Please mark this as answered.

RE: Imaging questions
I created image on 50GB VM. when it was being captured i noticed the overall size of file was about 18 GB.
so when you say FOG only destroys Partition table but leaves content will it cause any issue to newly deployed windows image ? i just want it to work as if it was originally installed.

Imaging questions
will fog auto wipe hard drive before it deploys image ?
The desktops/laptops that we use have OEM image and comes with different size hard drives. some even have SSD’s. will there be a issue when deploying an image ? I have created Single disk re sizable image that i captured from VM. -

dhcp issue - Lenovo E73 - Realtek RTL8111GN
FOG behaving differently on 2 different types desktops. it let me deploy image straight from fog menu on Lenovo M91p but it didn’t work on Lenovo E73. it gets IP from fog dhcp then after fog menu and selecting image to deploy it tries to get IP again and this time it fails. error “Failed to get an IP via DHCP!”
Both known working desktops.
Please help.

RE: FOG isolated setup question
This is fresh FOG install. we didn’t move it to isolated network. we followed wiki for isolated network setup. we gave private IP to fog and yes IP is correct in web interface everywhere. just wondering if it will start providing dhcp address to pxe client or do we have to configure that in fog (dhcp scope). OS is centos 7.

FOG isolated setup question
I just installed fog in an isolated network.connected to switch only.wondering how fog will do dhcp assigment. i did say yes when asked to run fog as dhcp server. do i need to edit dhcp scope or tell fog to which IP’s it can assign ?
aprreciate help on this.
