Fog Wiki account
Do you still allow people access to edit or add to the fog wiki? If so how do you get an account, I clicked on create account but says it’s only for administrators.

RE: Change what DNS and DHCP server IP Fog is using. This is after fog has been setup.
I am using Fog 1.2.5196 I do not want the new trunk version 7220 as it don’t have the items I like in the stable version.
I have the DHCP settings in Windows server in 66 and 67 but it keeps trying to point to the incorrect IP address.
I am using Ubuntu server 14.04.03
I do not see the options for fog to point the ip to the correct IP of my DHCP server in /etc/network/interfaces. I just have my Fog server ip address settings in there and DNS nameservers, no DHCP. -
Change what DNS and DHCP server IP Fog is using. This is after fog has been setup.
During install it ask for DNS for DHCP. My question is once fog is installed how do you change this to point to the correct DHCP server. In my case I am using a windows server to provide DHCP. I set the ip during install but for some reason it is pointing to a different DHCP ip address.

FOG 1.2.0 install instructions ?
I used the “upgrade to fog 1.0.0” on the wiki. However once I fixed the Sql error and it worked, it reads Fog 2178 and not 1.2.0. The web gui under help says I am not running the current version. I am just wondering if the fog 1.2.0 is somewhere else besides

Thank you FOG Team
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who works to make FOG and constant improvements that are made. I have had some problems myself and Tom has helped answer a-lot of them. Overall I am glad for FOG it’s a great tool. I have taken classes in programming but to see how in depth it would be to write this… it is in fact impressive. Tom Elliott obviously has some mad programming skills, to be able to write and re-write a kernal… that is pure programming wizardry!
In short thanks to all the developers and the entire fog team for there efforts.

RE: Fog 1.1.2 corrupts SQL database
I noticed that in the config.class.php file in 1.1.2 there is a password. However the config.class.php in 1.1.1 don’t have a password since we didn’t use one. Also during the 1.1.1 install it ask did you leave password blank?. 1.1.2 doesn’t ask that. It looks like the config.class.php file had the password left in by the developers. However still after making it an empty password 1.1.2 still fails to install. I will wait for an update to fog, looks like they are working on 1.2.0

RE: Fog 1.1.2 corrupts SQL database
Tried Rhythmtone’s website and did all the suggestions then did a Re-try of 1.1.2 and it (SQL) failed, I saw some things about Fog 1.2.0 so I will try that as soon as I can get access to Ubuntu again.

RE: Fog 1.1.2 corrupts SQL database
What I mean is the actual Config.class.php file had nothing in it. However after digging around I found a fog prev folder and it had the Config.class.php file and there is code in it. The odd thing is…there is a password not set by us, it has always been blank. I am not sure how it got there or changed. I will make another attempt at the install and report what happens.

RE: Fog 1.1.2 corrupts SQL database
I checked the Config.class.php file and nothing was in it. Anyways I will stop bothering you with this and use 1.1.1 for now.

RE: Fog 1.1.2 corrupts SQL database
no password is set. The odd thing is when I go and reinstall the 1.1.1 the SQL database is fine. Then I try and upgrade to 1.1.2 and it says the SQL schema installer/updater fails .

RE: Fog 1.1.2 corrupts SQL database
Here is the installation log, I don’t know how else to explain it. Regardless of starting or retrying the upgrade the fog UI continues to report the

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Decided to update FOG to 1.1.2 and it corrupts the SQL database.

RE: Problem after upgrading from 0.32 to 1.1.1
I have problems with fog 1.1.1 working correctly if the GUID of the computer is not displayed. Fog 1.1.1 is ok if the GUID is displayed, however if it sees FFFFFF …etc it says not for us.

RE: I am getting DCHP/BootP: Reply not for us. Or PXE- E51 :no dhcp or proxyDHCP offers were recieved
Roger, it took us several attempts to get fog to respond. Read Tom’s comment about options 66/67. Keep in mind that like Tom says if you have voip phone’s or anything using TFTP or DHCP server it will sometimes say “response not for us”. I noticed some computers have problems with iPXE, it’s not like the old PXE where you could fog just about anything. Check your TFTP settings on your fog server and sometimes updated the computer’s firmware helps.

RE: I am getting DCHP/BootP: Reply not for us. Or PXE- E51 :no dhcp or proxyDHCP offers were recieved
Tom,
Just referring to the issue we had with it in this thread. I was wondering when it is deploying fog says “invalid bios please report” where do we report bios or computer types? -

Fog has been acting odd since 1.0.1
