@george1421 we want to do remote imaging. we can get help from ppl in offices to do PXE boot and onscreen prompt selection of FOG menu. once computer imaged and gets DHCP IP we can take over from here.
our main concern is pushing image from HQ to remote offices. The image that we uploaded to FOG is about 15GB in size so not sure how long it will take to do one computer.
remote offices connected to HQ with VPN tunnels. not sure about speed. at each site we have about 20 to 30 desktops and laptops to be re imaged. No IT support at any remote site.
is there any guide out there for imaging computers at remote offices using FOG ?
we have several offices and would like to image computers using FOG.not sure how we can use fog for this. please help.

sometimes this file “WebCacheLock.dat” is called “WebCacheV01.dat”. It is safe to remove it.

so far issues only happened when we assigned computers to new users and were not in use for about month after last users left job. event logs were checked but no significant reported error.
I just configured laptop with the fog image had 3 different users signed into it. 2 domain admins and one normal user. all our profiles are intact no issue.
we use win 10 pro. images were created on 1803 and 1903 update.once it’s sealed i do not re open it. i basically start over in VM and go into audit mode to customize than finally sysprep and capture it in fog.
Our golden image was taken on VM and yes it was syspreped. issue not happening to all fog imaged devices only few have reported issue so far. is this windows default profile related ? we have been searching for solution but no luck.
do you have any idea on this ?
We are having weird issue with win10 pro computers. images deployed using FOG then computer assigned to user works fine but when same computer gets reassigned to totally different person (who never logged into it) his profile is broken. several features or option don’t work well. Settings menu open but any option within settings opens blank. search icon on taskbar not working. some apps takes longer to open like MS office. we tried deleting user profile completely and creating another one but that doesn’t help.
Please help us with this issue. it is now happening frequently.
We are looking for some help figuring out how to migrate users data when we deploy windows 10 thru fog server.
we will be sending fog server to our remote offices and locally image each of the user’s computer with windows 10. how do we migrate their user’s data to windows 10 without involving external drives like Flash drive,passport drivers or file servers.
ideally we like to automate this process so after deploying windows 10 user’s profile and data is there.
we use centos 7. I would like fog to provide dhcp service to target computers. This will be isolated network. i did set dodhcp & bldhcp to correct options
How can we use fog as dhcp server ? do we need to install program ? when we first setup we said NO to use fog as dhcp server. please help.

My new FOG server isn’t working well. when i pxe boot target computer it gets dhcp ip but then gets stuck at TFTP… and says Tftp timeout. fog server, target computer and sophos box all connected to unmanaged switch.option 66 & 67 are correctly setup.
it did finish. but took long time. Thank you guys. please resolve this.
I followed this wiki to Migrate Fog. i updated IP settings and trying to re run fog install but it is stuck here not sure whats going on. appreciate help on this.

Thank you i did follow this wiki but when go to web interface of FOG and check under images (List Images) they don’t show up there.on the server when i do “ls” command images shows up there.do i need to create image objects in web interface ?
Please guide on how to export image to new fog server from old one. old server has only 1 image stored and everything else like hosts, groups etc blank. user account is also default. both servers are on same network currently.
so we have decided not go with this option as it might cause bandwidth issue if we send image over WAN. we are going to setup another fog server and will move it around our remote offices for imaging. now how do i go about transferring my exiting fog setup to new box including images that i have.
