    • RE: Uploading image... so loooonnnng!

      Hmm, okay, i clean it, thank a lot. i see now that was totaly stupid to mount it there. i need to rethink space disk for partitions. and i understand that we need double space of image to succesfull image an UC : one for temporary in /dev, and one into final directory it is true ? so for a 5 Gb image we need 10-11Gb space disk free in nfs share ?

      I’ll try to image a dos UC to see. itwill be more quick to test. dos vbox powaaa…

    • Uploading image... so loooonnnng!

      hi,

      i have already ask for some problem of tftp download freeze, it sontinue, and it is not a dhcp problem. but it is not the matter. i think it is in relation with Vbox.

      i have correctly start a full register of UC, and started an image upload. it successfully start at pxe boot. but. It is my first use of upload in fog, so i don’t know what is normal response at screen. system partition is 7Go size.

      i seen * … resizing -> ok and next step too, but now i have lost of TAB + * on screen making this:

       *                            *                               *                               *
             *                                *                             *                            *
                    *                                  *                           *                              *

      etc…
      no percentage , no image file in destination folder, no error message. there is 4 hours imaging now… it is a very long time to do this.

      the destination nfs directory is 3Gb size, but i had mounted a 10Go partition on a subdirectory /images/disks/ , and destination image location is this sub folder.
      unfortunately fog webpage show me a 100% used space… impossible. there is no file in destination images directory… where are temporary data ?

      TEST 7,20 GiB 0,00 iB No Data

      is it normal ?

    • RE: can't open Webmanagement console

      sorry, i see that later: FOG has only two levels of users, regular users and mobile users. Regular users have access to the mobile portal and the full management portal. Mobile users have access to only the mobile management portal and Quick Image functions.

      so where in fog BDD, can i modify this option ?

    • can't open Webmanagement console

      since yesterday, fog does want to open webmanagement console.
      Password are okay, no login error message. it let me on login page after identification and loading servers numbers.

      • fog user information does not work
      • i have created another admin user from mysql command line but it is the same thing.
      • bad user login or password are successfully rejected with a message.
      • it was working before.
      • last change on user config was on fog user: ( i set the chekbox under the identification information of user config )

      Now it is impossible for me to load management web console.
      is there any solution to understand why ?

    • RE: Can't load fast registering uc from pxe

      @Sebastian-Roth so. it was not a fog client pb. all is working fine now.
      i had to reboot uc to restart vbox without dhcp. loading process work now perfectly.
      i had corected some parameters in host config too (bad manual entries).
      So no problems with multi-networkdevices on fog server. just user PB.

      Thanks for your time.

      it is probably, because there is more than one interfaces. there is a bad configuration in pxe client or fog client somewhere.
      ip information continue to be 192.168.x.x as client does not have dhcp adress.

      @Tom-Elliott
      sure i have install FOG onto a debian preinstalled , copnfigured, and tested, i said only: when you install FOG without internet install mode (so only with debian dvd), we have some problem to know witch dvd is needed to install needed packet because all disturbing messages are pushed to vaccuum ;). ( >null ).

      My first pb is : the TFTP seems to be unstable and do not charge correctly needed files to run registering and imaging process. it stop loading them at random percent of loading. Fortunately reloading pxe and restarting operation grow up loading percentage each time. and it finaly work . i think it is a parameter somewhere who limit upload or download, or a time limit maybe…

      @Quazz
      hmm, i do not use another user than fog user i have configured, but it is not working. he refuse to run operation with it. Entering web page is working perfectly. is the fog passord must be the same as mysql password ?

      It is a test system so no drop rules in iptables firewall.

      I’ll try another user.
