    • RE: Windows 7 - Single Disk resizable

Any ideas on what to try, or logs to inspect. Still can’t image/deploy a windows7 computer if using single disk resizable.
Created on a clean install of 1.2.0 and deploy minutes later to the same hardware. I don’t know if the image has a problem, or if the deploy has the problem. Image “size” looks to be correct (about the same size as when I create it using single disk not resizeable).

    • Windows 7 - Single Disk resizable

I can successfully create and deploy images as long as the computer I am using as the “master image” creator has a hard drive smaller than any of the computers that the image will be deployed to. What I would like is to use the resizable option so that the target machines can have a smaller drive if that is what is installed. The image size looks ok, the download and/or deploy/download seems to work ok, but the computer will not boot to the image that was written.

      • Testing using both the SAME physical computer as well as identical hardware except for the disk drive.

Quick side question: How do you clear the fog logs?

Very fundamental question. What is the difference between the Upload/Download buttons on the Host Management page VS the Upload/Download after clicking on Deploy? I have searched Docs, FAQ’s and Forums but could not find the answer.

    • RE: PXE Boot stopped working

Restarting mysql did solve my issue. Sorry to have hijacked this thread, but since the other was generic stating that pxe was not working and was posted on the same date I thought it might be of relevance. All of my FOG servers are running again.
      Sincerely,
      Mark

    • RE: PXE Boot stopped working

When did the problem start? This AM all of my FOG servers stopped working. The only change was a critical MySQL update that was preformed overnight. When I log into the FOG management window (browser) it want to run the database schema intaller/updater like it is a new install. Running it fails with an error. Trying to run it from the command line also result in an error.
      Specifically if run from root: cd ~;mysqldump --allow-keywords -x -v fog > fogbackup.sql

      d: command not found
      – Connecting to localhost…
mysqldump: Got error: 2002: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ’
/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock’ (2) when trying to connect

      I am running Ubuntu 14.04LTS Fog 1.2.0
