• RE: Unable to Join Domain
Hi,

You might want to check my post out here: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/domain-join-not-working-since-moving-to-v1-2-0-error-87.11642/

If you change the settings in the configuration area the change does not update in the individual/group hosts so you need to check your settings in the config area match up and then go and replicate your change on either the one host you want to fog… the easier way of doing it is to replicate the configuration change for the groups you have the hosts in, if you’ve grouped them.

Hope this helps you out :)
Hello KOA-IT,

Your post was the answer I was looking for. I was changing the AD Settings in FOG Settings. I didnt realise the changes were not replicating to the hosts/groups. Once I changed it in the groups it all started working.

Thank you very much for your help. Now I can reimage our computer labs.

I forgot to mention that I copied

C:\Windows\System32\netdom.exe and C:\Windows\System32\en-US\netdom.exe.mui from the domain controller to the workstation I uploaded the image from.

      Hello Tom,

I have resolved the issue. I has performed the upgrade too quickly and I missed the prompt to upgrade the database at http://10.0.0.3/fog/management When I went to the link, there was the magic button to upgrade the database.

I apologise for wasting your time for my mistake. Thank you for your help.
the password for mysql is stored in /var/www/fog/lib/fog/Config.class.php
if it is not correct, the mysql root password can be changed from the linux command line, after which you will need to update Config.class.php to match
I have verified that the mySQL password is correct. How to I update the database schema?

    • Unable to Join Domain

I uploaded my new image this afternoon. When I deployed it to the test computer, it didnt automatically join the domain.

I reviewed the FOG log and I found the following lines:

FOG:: HostnameChanger Attempting to join domain if not already a member…
FOG:: HostnameChanger Domain Error! (‘Unknown Error’ code: 123)

    • Update Database Schema 1.1.2 - 1.2.0

This was my first FOG upgrade and I ran into a couple of issues. I did not setup the system initially so I do not know the MYSQL password. Is there any way I can retrieve or reset it? How do I update the database schema?
