    • Latitude E7440 issue on image

We have a new model laptop I am trying to image with our standard windows 7 image. It fails on the initial registering of the device with no noticeable errors, it just hangs when going through the registration, before adding the details.

It does come with a minicard ssd. Could this be the problem? I can’t find a way to find a log of any errors.

    • New PC installing image, but keeping FOG IP

Fog has been working very well imaging. But two new laptops are keeping the IP address assigned to the FOG server, not getting a DHCP assigned address, so are therefore not joining the domain.

Whenever I get a new piece of hardware I add the MAC address manually to the dhcpd.conf file, then do the image. I’ve tested a current PC and that is imaging as it should. Would there be a limit to the size of the conf file? I am unsure of changing the PXE settings on our DHCP server as we have another PXE server running on the network, although in another sub domain.

    • Put Computer Description from AD into FOG

We have FOG set up and its excellent, we are now starting to use more of the features, so I want to be able to update the computer description in AD and that replicate to FOG, either in the description field in fog or the user field.

I have a script set up that pulls the last user logged on into AD to update the description. Can this be somehow synced? Is this possible?

      Thanks
