      @ch3i

      Hi ch3i!

      I’m not that sure what you mean by the NFS exports configuration and don’t really know how to test the NFS connection to be honest?

      @Uncle-Frank

      Hi Uncle Frank!

      I think I have it correct:

      shared folders filezilla.JPG

      And I have ticked everything for all of them! Only thing I was forced to do was add Aliases!

      How come the images can sync between the fog server and windows node but cannot upload an image to it?

      I have FOG 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS which runs perfectly and we use it everyday.

      However, we have 20 remote locations all connected by Fibre and I would like to utilize the Windows 2012 servers we have at these sites to make imaging localized from an NFS node rather than pulling across the WAN!

      I have following these guides and installed NFS role, Filezilla etc etc:

      https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Windows_Storage_Node
      https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/48903-setting-up-fog-with-storage-on-windows-server

      I have got to the point where I can add the new NFS node to the default node group and the images will sync to the NFS node just fine but I cannot a new image to the remote node, I am getting this:

      IMG_0357.JPG

      and this:

      Capturefog.JPG

      Please help?

      Hi Matt

      I think I’m in the same position as you, however I have 20 sites which I think all need a node!

      Basically all sites linked on WAN with separate subnets and 1st pc I want to image is on a remote site so before I go any further I wanted advice like yourself!

      Can you let me know how you get on?

    • Newbie Help Please!!!

      Hi

      I am a newbie to fog and linux (bet you’ve heard that before)

      We are looking to remotely image around 700 XP pc’s accross 20 different sites all connected on a WAN with different subnets.

      All Optiplex 745, 755, 360, 380, 390’s which is quite nice!

      I have installed FOG on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and can successfully change a hostname and memtest from FOG!!

      Now before I go any further I need advice on what to do next in terms of a node at each site etc etc

      DHCP is dished out from Cisco 800 routers with our IT subnet having already been updated with the appriopriate Options which work!

      The first site to image is basically on another subnet?

      General advice and tech as we go along would be great!

      Thanks

      Kevin
