I’m not 100% sure, but I do know that when clients were booting, they showed that they were using .0.108 for the DHCP, so that’s not the issue. It’s right when it starts to TFTP stuff from the server is where it fails.

I was working on my private FOG server at home on IP address 192.168.0.100. Now, I’m on a new IP which is 192.168.0.108. I go into the fog settings under the Other Information tab, and change all references of .0.100 to .0.108.
Now, I am receiving error PXE-E11: ARP Timeout from clients. (They find DHCP and DNS fine, but TFTP errors are evident)
Can someone tell me where I can find the config file where I can resolve this?

NOTE: I HAVE fixed the issue myself. Turns out I forgot to set the fog server as a dhcp server as well! oops…

Dlink DIR-628. The router is not the issue, as I’ve successfully setup a fog server before, and now when I’m attempting to do it again, it does not work. I suspect it is some configuration in the router that is messing it up.

Multiple computers, all set to PXE boot with LAN. They look for a PXE server until they fail and continue normal boot proceedure. This is a completely clean install with a static IP for the server. Any ideas are appreciated.

Hey guys. Trying to get into my tftpboot folder to change some of the default files so I can change my default.cfg stuff, and I don’t have any perms whatsoever. FTP won’t let me right, and when trying to copy files over from the desktop to the tftpboot folder, I’m ‘not the owner’ of the folder, so I can’t. How do I access the folder as root?

I know this sounds like a far-out question, but we know that Deep Freeze nearly holds the monopoly on this kind of thing. If FOG could re-image a machine quickly every time it boots (I don’t know how long deep freeze takes for its process) that would be…killer. I thought there would be an option in ‘scheduled events’ for this, but I’m not finding one. Perhaps it’s hidden in the groups section and I haven’t looked deep enough?

What are your takes on this?

Sorry for the initial post. I have no excuse for the immaturity displayed. However, by tinkering with the server, I’ve seemed to get a decent grasp on the basic tasks provided by the software. Again, apologies for all of this.
