PXE Downloads image but does not boot to it (Solved)
When I go to image a computer, pxe starts on ipv4, then it claims to download the image, but promptly goes on to try pxe ipv6 and never boots to the image it just downloaded.

RE: PXE-E53: No Boot File Received
@Sebastian-Roth I am able to run the
tftp -v x.x.x.x -m binary -c get undionly.kpxe
command from the machine I am trying to image, it worked. but pxe still reports no boot file recieved -
RE: PXE-E53: No Boot File Received
if we assume that the DHCP setting of the router are correct (they worked before) is there anything else that could cause the problem?

RE: Full clean install but no fog/managment page
did a clean install of Ubuntu 16.04 with newest latest trunk, installed with
sudo -i git clone https://github.com/FOGProject/fogproject.git /root/fogproject cd /root/fogproject git checkout dev-branch cd bin php_ver='7.0' php_verAdds='-7.0' ./installfog.sh -y
so far it works fine
hopefully I can hosts and images from previous fog server -
RE: Full clean install but no fog/managment page
@Sebastian-Roth yah, I did a fresh pull each time

Full clean install but no fog/managment page
so to try to solve earlier problems, I did a clean install of fog trunk on a clean install of Ubuntu 16 following the directions laid out on these 2 pages https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Ubuntu_16.04 https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Upgrade_to_trunk
after 2 or 3 full clean boots, the fog/management/index.php page is completely blank, I have tried changing nothing, installing PHP7.1/7.0, mysql, and apache2 separately but the page is always blank. -
RE: PXE-E53: No Boot File Received
@Sebastian-Roth both are running, I have previously been able to use this install to image on this network, and I dont think it has changed since then

RE: PXE-E53: No Boot File Received
there may be another DHCP server on the network, I don’t know, basically I have a room of 26 computers (one of which is the fog server) that I control all networked through a switch that I don’t control, that I dont know for sure, but I think that switch is running a DHCP server

RE: PXE-E53: No Boot File Received
I don’t remember, /opt/fog has ‘dodhce=“y”’ and ‘bldhcp=“1”’ if that helps

PXE-E53: No Boot File Received
Last year I installed fog branch on Ubuntu 16, (see https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/9093/imaging-dual-boot-on-m-2-ssd) I got it working successfully, but then, for a variety of reasons, we had to move the server computer, so I pulled the drive out of it and stuck it in a different computer, and moved the images to a different drive mounted as /images, at that point, fog stopped working for multi cast, and I don’t know why deploy still worked. now, for various reasons, the computer holding the drive needed to be imaged, so I moved the drive back to the original hardware, and now it does not deploy am image, instead when network boot starts (I have to launch network boot manually), it throws the error ‘PXE-E53: No Boot File Received’ and then continues to boot to GRUB. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

RE: Imaging Dual Boot on M.2 SSD
@Tom-Elliott thanks, we managed to push the image with our work around in time, I can try your fix out soon when we re image the machines

RE: Imaging Dual Boot on M.2 SSD
Thank you for the help, I managed to figure it out, the solution that worked for me was to take the image using type 4 Raw image and other as an OS, resulting file was named Raw.000, renamed to Raw an pushed to other machine and it worked (refused to work with file Raw.000)

RE: Imaging Dual Boot on M.2 SSD
@Wayne-Workman I just tried an image with your recommended settings, but it is only getting 1 partition of the drive and reporting a device size of 262.1 GB rather than 512GB, on the previous times I have tried multi-partition not resizeable (with other rather than windows other os) the final was no different

RE: Imaging Dual Boot on M.2 SSD
Fog version 1.3.0-RC-30
the computers are custom build with MSI mother Boards, Intel I7 Processors and Samsung M.2 SSDs -
Imaging Dual Boot on M.2 SSD
I am attempting to image a room of 24 identical computers with 512 M.2 SSDs. On one of the machines I have constructed my Image containing Windows 10 Anniversary and Ubuntu 16.4, the boot loader is grub. So far I think I have successfully pulled the image using image type raw, other as operating system, and standard compression, but I have not yet been able to push the image to another machine, when ever I try the other computer complains about the partition table and my image size (on the fog server) gets set to 0Bi (from 400 some GB), but the size on the hard drive remains unchanged (65 GB). What am I doing wrong? and How do I fix it?
