@x23piracy Yes this image was working fine before on 1.2. When we finish a couple other jobs in a bit I’ll re-image again using the old server just to triple check.
We haven’t switched any firmware booting between the upgrades.
Thanks for the help.

Sorry. I’ll try to provide some more information. The picture attached is what it says when it’s done imaging. After that it reboots but tries to load our encryption software which isn’t apart of the base images. After it tries to load the encryption software the computer just reboots.

Hello,
I’ve recently upgraded our FOG server to 1.3.5-RC-10 from 1.2.0. The 1.3 server was a fresh install and setup with a new DB and using a Synology NAS for the images. I used scp to copy the images from the old server over to the new one. I’m able to deploy the images and it goes through the imaging process and even says its been completed. But when the computer reboots it doesn’t load the image at all.
The only difference I’ve noticed is that the version of partclone is different from the 1.2 to the 1.3 server. Any thoughts of what the issue might be?
Thanks.
@george1421 Yeah I was originally looking at how to install FOG on the Synology NAS as a Storage Node but couldn’t seem to find a way to do that yet. This way is a bit hacky but it is working without issue thus far!
@george1421 Correct. I have 1.3 installed on a VM and all the images are stored on the NAS for capture and deployment.
Thanks for the great tutorial. I used it to get the NAS setup for our 1.3 FOG server. A couple things I ran into just to let you know:
This should be a common thing but I needed to make sure that the NAS was my default storage node. I screwed this up the first time through.
I was able to capture an image but I wasn’t able to deploy. I needed to have a .mntcheck in both /images and /images/dev. In the steps above this is only created in the /images/dev portion.
Just thought I’d give you a heads up but so far it looks like the rest of the steps worked flawlessly and it is much appreciated.
