Updated Windows 10 Machine Not Capturing to FOG Server
Running Version 1.4.2
SVN Revision: 6072I have 2 different types of machines that we are using FOG for this summer. Dell Latitude e6400 and e6420. Both machines are up-to-date with Windows 10. The e6400 captures and deploys with no problem. The e6420, after updating, does not capture. The error…
Any help or suggestions appreciated. I have approx 200 of these model of machines that I need to have imaged. -
RE: Updating Kernel Error
@Tom-Elliott and it seems that the 1.3.5 is still loaded. Won’t take the 1.4 RC.

RE: Updating Kernel Error
@Tom-Elliott So…I installed the latest RC and even restarted after install, but nothing is working at all. Only a white screen is showing when browsing to the gui.
Went back and installed fog again over the top and seems to be back up now.
I will let you know if the kernel update works. -
RE: Updating Kernel Error
@Tom-Elliott immediately before the red boxed error I get “Download Completed! Moving file to TFTP server…”
Is there a permission error with fog username trying to create the file? Not sure why or what has happened to it. -
RE: Updating Kernel Error
@Tom-Elliott I am running Fedora 22. Typed the Redhat based code in…no change on the kernel update.

Updating Kernel Error
I attempted to capture a machine and have been getting errors on a few so I thought I needed to update the kernel since I recently SVN up’ped.
But I am getting an error and can’t find the answer to fix it anywhere.
Here is the error…help is greatly appreciated, as always.Type: 2, File: /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php, Line: 708, Message: ftp_put(): Could not create file., Host: 192.168.0.49, Username: fog

RE: Fog Host Management gives Blank Screen after SVN up to 6067
@Tom-Elliott will try a reboot. If you think another boot file would be better, please let me know.
Thanks man. You are extremely helpful. Have a great day! -

RE: Fog Host Management gives Blank Screen after SVN up to 6067
@Tom-Elliott Great. Will wait to see what happens on the size listed. One more question. Do you have any idea why our PXE boot has gotten slow. It does the main PXE boot and then puts nearly 2 rows of . . . . . before the machine will begin going to windows or doing a job from FOG.

RE: Fog Host Management gives Blank Screen after SVN up to 6067
@Tom-Elliott Also noticing that in the Image Management, there are 0.00iB on all my images sizes: ON SERVER. Made me think that I had lost all my images, but we were able to fog a machine successfully.

RE: Fog Host Management gives Blank Screen after SVN up to 6067
@Tom-Elliott I have 1653 hosts found. It finally loaded at 256. Is there any hardware restraint for this setting?

RE: Fog Host Management gives Blank Screen after SVN up to 6067
It is currently on 128. Do you have a higher recommendation or does it matter?

Fog Host Management gives Blank Screen after SVN up to 6067
Server
- FOG Version: 1.3.5
- OS: Fedora 22
SVN Revision: 6067
Client
- Service Version:
- OS:
Description
Updated SVN to 6067 (from 5955, I believe) today and everything looks fine, but the Host Management screen is nothing but a white screen.
I can see the hosts if they are attached to a group…and can even see all the hosts by clicking ‘Membership’ of the group and then selecting the option to ‘see hosts not within this group.’
Any help will be greatly appreciated with the ability to see hosts on management screen.
Thanks. -
RE: ipxe/boot.php hanging on capture
Problem seems to be resolved.
I deleted the storage node that was showing up in apache error log. Not sure why FOG reverted to a storage node that was not listed as master, but it did.
After deleting, I have uploaded an image.
Words of wisdom from an idiot…When SVN up-ing, Make sure that you don’t delete your images, evidently there is a setting to delete images and I missed it. It is a bad thing to delete them. Worse than that…I did not have a backup of the images.
Happy Fogging.@Wayne-Workman @Quazz Thanks for your support you guys are great to have around.

RE: ipxe/boot.php hanging on capture
@Quazz it was there listed as one of my old storage nodes, but not the master. I deleted it. Will try to capture and see what happens.
