Ah yes I have STP setup on my network, I came back to this thread again, cause I found a conflicting IP with my fog server…which I think was the root cause. A switch on my network had been configured with the same IP.

RE: pxe doesn't boot to menu
Hrmm I think I worked out the problem, the computer I had tested happened to be connected to a different switch. I plugged that same cord into the computer that wasn’t working and it managed to boot flawlessly. so it appears to be a network related issue.
thanks for your assistance.

RE: pxe doesn't boot to menu
The one I’m testing now is a hp dc5800 sff. Its worked on previous versions of fog.
I’ll check some other models to see if the same thing occurs. Its been offline for awhile and wanted to get it working again, but I did notice it did work for some machines previously (different models).

pxe doesn't boot to menu
Hi,
I’ve installed fog before and been able to fix most of my problems but I’m stumped as to the problem I’m having now. (1.2.0)
on my client machines they seem to retrieve the undionly.kpxe image fine, but when it gets to the bit wher eit says PXE 1.0.0+ Open source network boot firmware, it thinks about it for a bit and then restarts itself.
I noticed that when I hit pause on that part of the process and wait 3-4 seconds, it decides to boot the menu like normal.
I’ve tried putting in the -T 900000 option in the tftpd-hpa file and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
