    • RE: Pre-built isolated network builds?

I am a Linux beginner also but I have done this in the last week.

I used Ubuntu 11.10 and Fog 0.32 and isc-dhcp-server 4.2.2. After a couple days and headaches I got it to work. Mostly because of my knowledge of Linux at the moment. I ran into a number of issues along the way but if you went this route, I could try and give a hand if you ran into any problems.

This is a great setup for standalone imaging. This configuration could be used to image one PC connected to the NIC of my Fog server, or multicast multiple PCs connected to a switch and the Fog server.

      Cheers

    • RE: Slow deploy & upload speeds.

      Hi Rob,

Multicasting does not start on its own. By default if you deploy an image to a group of machines it will unicast. To multicast you will have to go to to “Task Management” and search a group of hosts and there will be a double arrow icon next to the group name that you can click to multicast.

    • RE: FOG 0.33 - What's coming?

I am currently checking out .33

I have been loitering around the support forums and finally decided to join in. I would like to give many thanks to all working on the FOG project and those who support it. There is a great community and lets keep it alive!

I have been using 0.32 since release and have a pretty good feel for it considering i am not a Linux guru. I wouldn’t be where I am at without the support here. Good work!

      Cheers
