PXE-Boot into FOG-Menu....
A brief description of the network environment:
I use a DHCP server (Centos-based), which manages various VLAN. Included are two FOG servers (CentOS OS), a 1.2.0 and a 1.4.0 (running version 1.4.0
SVN revision: 6069). Both work mostly flawlessly. (WOL problems at 1.4.0 may be associated with the message “Pending macs” or the clients (Fujitsu Lifebook E554).Now I have installed another FOG server (Ubuntu 16.04, because of chic) and set up, in the VLAN appropriately created (bootserver). Internet connection ok, ping to the computers works well, connected via patch cable to a workgroupswitch (cables are good). Hosts created, Image created, new computer (HP ProBook 650 G1) for image upload selected and set up in VLAN,
Booting via PXE is set up in the UEFI and works, IP is assigned, it remains hang with TFTP and the message PXE M0F: Exiting …
the next screen“Network not found”
Before I install a new system (Centos) and try again from scratch, I politely ask for a solution.
Some things I’ve tried, including
service tftp … start
Using a dump switchThe thing with spinning tree etc. should not be the problem, as I use two other FOGs and these run fine within exactly this dhcp, though in another VLAN.

RE: backing up data error
Hallo,
alles klar. Ich ändere die Phrasen und lade es hier hoch. Mit Github kenne ich mich nicht so gut aus. Es kann ein bisschen dauern. Wenn ich fragen habe, was gemeint ist, mache ich hier einen “German Translation” - Thread auf.
Ich möchte gern etwas zurück geben, weil wir inzwischen mit drei FOGs arbeiten und auch hier gute Antworten bekommen.
[Moderators’ edit]
Hi,alright. I’ll work on changing the phrases and will upload here. I am not familier with github. Could be a while till I get to it. I will open a new “German Translation” thread in case I have questions about the meaning of phrases.

RE: backing up data error
I solved the problem by re-install the OS Ubuntu, configure the internet connection and install fog. Everythings fine now. IT was no problem because I had to use a new device from scratch.
I am from germany and saw some (funny) translation errors in the german language. Some things like “host” doesn´t mean “Gastgeber” (= a person how invites friends for a dinner at home), but also in german it-language “host”. A critical error (FOG 1.2) was the wrong translation of “device” to “Drucker” (=printer) instead to “Gerät”.
I am willing to assist in the translation of the phrases. Please let me know.

FOG 1.4.4
no proxyI do not know how to continue.
Translated with Google.

RE: How to kill a few tasks
Yes, it is FOG 1.2.0
Of course: To create a group containing ONLY the hosts to multicast is the thing I actually do. But it is troublesome to select 35 clients out of ~ 300 in only short time. Because after the first multicast session I have to create a new group with 35 out of ~ 300 and so on.
And I can´t foresee which clients will be in the next group. They are coming in randomly. So I just thougth to create a huge group with all clients (~300) and kill all those who aren´t actually multicasted. But to kill all single tasks is nearly the same time like to create a group fitting all needed clients
Please excuse my bad English. -
How to kill a few tasks
Hello,
I add our 200 hosts in a multicast group and start a multicast session . I only want to reinstall some of these clients, so the others are not connected to the network. These clients remain “queued” . How can I delete these tasks at once, maybe with a command prompt at putty?
like “service FOGMulticastManager stop/start”
