Boot Error after Fog Restore
Hey Guys, One of my emploee’s came to me about this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
*During the restore process Fog is loosing one or more boot sector files when it resizes the drive. After the image restore task is complete and I take the terminal off the fog network and it will not boot into windows because of the missing boot files.
*I have an image set to “Single Disk - Resizable” and it successfully restores to an identical size 60 gigabyte drive. After restoring to any other size drive (larger or smaller), Windows 10 fails to boot. See attached error. I tried flipping the image to “Not Resizable” and successfully restored the image with a different size drive and booted into Windows; however, the drive was shrunk down to just the used space. I have also included the partition table as displayed in Windows for the 60 gigabyte drive.
RE: Fog with the Touch Dynamic Quest7 Tablet
@chvys10matt Usually we have the file name written like this bzImage32 (upper case I). Please double check the file name on your FOG server as it makes a huge difference in the Linux world.
Gotcha. Relaying information now. Thanks
Fog with the Touch Dynamic Quest7 Tablet
I have been able to use Fog with the Touch Dynamic Quest7 tablet in the past, but I am getting a new error now.
I am still setting the “host kernel” = bzimage32
I am still setting the “host Init” = init_32.xz
Attached is the error.
I believe Zerpie had similar posts in the past about this. Maybe there’s some helpful info inside that thread as well.
Thanks for any info!
halts at "configuring"
Hello, I’m a friend of Zerpie and am new to the forums. I have come into a situation.
The Device finds the fog server and finishes “iPXE initializing devices…ok”. Then, as you can see in the attached image, halts at “configuring”. Suggestions?
Thanks for your time.!! ![0_1550861557111_IMG_5703.JPG](Uploading 100%)
