@george1421 The IP address didn’t change between old and new so that is not it and I didn’t choose https

    • Fresh Install of 1.5.9 with CentOS 7 issues

I am having an issue where during a fresh install of 1.5.9 (stable) on CentOS 7 following this install guide: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=CentOS_7. I restore the database and that all goes well, it is just when I try to upload a new image I created I get the following:

      bzImage…Connection timed out
Could not boot: Connection timed out (http://ipxe.org/4c0a6035)

What am I missing? The IP addresses are correct going through to this point.

    • RE: Upgrade from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 issues

@Sebastian-Roth I didn’t because I am also very busy. I am in IT at a district that supports 13 other districts. This has been “survival mode”, not so much “normal mode”. I will let you know when I get some time.

@Sebastian-Roth It looks like 1 of those 1.5.8mod’s was already done in the middle of the current truth table.

@george1421 @Sebastian-Roth Thank you for all you do! I understand about being “essential”. Working from home right now.

@Sebastian-Roth I thought we tested and then @george1421 was going to look at some of the behind the scenes things and then would get back to me? If I am wrong and I needed to do something else, please let me know!

@Sebastian-Roth Has this been hard to replicate? Or is it just that it has been hard to find time to do this? Thanks!

    • RE: Upgrade from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 issues

@george1421 Just as fast as when I had 1.5.7 and it was working. Both tests from normal SSD and NVMe worked as I think they should. How do I now get an output of what versions of things I have so that you guys can figure out what you need to?

    • RE: Upgrade from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 issues

@george1421 This is correct so far. This last test proved to be faster this time…hmmm…This has also been the most stable as far as not going from ridiculous speeds down to what it actually should be. Now it starts where it normally rests at.

@george1421 I am testing it now. I found the 1.5.8 binaries.

@Sebastian-Roth I just tested with the old bzimage for 1.5.7 and the speed was much faster and what I am used to.

    • RE: Upgrade from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 issues

@Sebastian-Roth Nothing on the network has changed and I did try @george1421 suggestion as well. It was a 2 minute install/upgrade of 1.5.8 and the snapshot revert took about 2 minutes max. Sorry, I have been on vacation the last couple of days but I wanted to make sure and get back to you on those things.

    • RE: Upgrade from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 issues

@Sebastian-Roth After a test with the new init I am still having the issues of speed decrease. It is almost double what it used to take. My images being pushed out was around 2:30 minutes and now it is 4:17.

    • RE: Upgrade from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 issues

@JJ-Fullmer Thanks for the update. It is taking the machine considerably longer. Now…longer is relative at about 3-5 extra minutes, but if you have a ton to image it can be painful.

@Sebastian-Roth I understand completely where you are coming from and how frustrating it could be to have someone not try and help out the community. I take no offense at all.

I will get working on this right away and let you know my findings.
