• RE: How to: Modify the PXE boot menu to allow the booting of .iso files

Hi ssx4life. Can you take a look at my issue? I have setup exactly as your guide. http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/dell-precision-t5600-not-enough-memory-to-load-specified-image.3789/ What version of syslinux do you think I should try? Should I go all the way back to version 2 or 3?

Bjorn, I’ve also tried your suggestion in using gpxelinux.0 I changed this on my dhcp scope and copied gpxelinux.0 from the syslinux folder into my /tftpboot. However when I pxe boot up, I got an error saying vesamenu.c32 not a com32r image. I can hit tab and then load my iso but this runs out of memory even quicker.

    • Dell Precision T5600 not enough memory to load specified image

I’m trying to get it to load a winpe.iso (220mb) file. This iso works on Precision T5500, optiplex 790 and latitude E6420. But it will load attempt to load it and after a few lines it will say Not enough memory to load specified image.

I googled a bit and it seems that people suggest to use an older version of memdisk. I tried that and also increased the ramdisk size. Also tried adding mem=1024m at the pxe menu.

http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/bios-pxe-boot-issues Shows that t5600 have pxe issues, but it pxes boot into fog fine.

What else can I try? The winpe.iso is just a Windows MDT image. It contains a boot.wim that will allow me to boot into WinPE environment.
