ill try copy them to the new server and see if they deploy but will have to reupload as the old image has a different ip in the fog client to the new server.

RE: Fog 1.2.0 deploy issue
as mentioned the last three images are fine they work and deploy I don’t find it a aissue it doesn’t tell me the size on server theres plenty of space.
its the top two files which are the issue as they apparently uploaded correctly but when deploying it gives the error mentioned in previous posts.
is it possible to just copy and paste the image from the old servers /image folder to the new servers /image folder?

RE: Fog 1.2.0 deploy issue
hi so I have tried to upload another device image the rm notebook 310 xp image seen below and its doing the same as the 320 image below it as you can see it says the image size on the client but then on server its showing very low. I don’t know why the bottom 3 images don’t say anything for on server but they work as ive used this server to image many of them machine types and all of them apart from the windows 7 image was uploaded using the same method of deploying it to a device from the old server and then sysprepping and reuploading to the new.
Any ideas?

RE: Fog 1.2.0 deploy issue
What version of FOG was the “old” system?
You’re currently on 1.2.0?
Did you migrate, meaning you moved the files from 0.32 to 1.2.0 and recreated the images, or did you upgrade from 0.32 to 1.2.0?
old server is 0.32 new is 1.20 they are seprate servers.
to get the image from the old one to the new. I deployed the image from the old server onto a device then switch the settings in DHCP to point to the new server then syspreped the device again and reuploaded to the new 1.2.0 server.
as mentioned I have other images which ive done this method with and its worked fine. and also new windows 7 image which was made fresh and uploaded these all work fine.
I think its a upload image due to the size of it on the new server only been 1.6gb

RE: Fog 1.2.0 deploy issue
I have checked on the new server the disks all report fine under the raid, however the image file for this machine is reporting as only 1.6gb so am guessing something has gone wrong on the upload as its about a 26gb image.
server should be fine as all the other images work correctly and had no issues uploading them.
I will try a reupload.

Hi sorry might be a daft question. But how do you update fog on a current install, is it a case I have to Redownload and do a fresh install or is there a simple command to update.

RE: Windows 7 Deployment FOG- SAD2 Driver tool
Hi wondering if anyone can offer any advice, so all the machines at work we plan to use are all RM branded and have oem licences, i have now got hold of the RM windows 7 64bit oem recovery disk (activates against bios), do i have to do anything special to make a golden image with this or would i be best making a single image for each RM Machine type, in total about 5 different models.
ive tested the sad2 tool on them and it works fine gets every driver no problem apart from the RM laptops which is a issue we have seen before with a faulty intel onboard graphic driver which basically kills the display and you have to RDP to the machine and update the driver for the graphic manually in device manager by searching automatically for the driver and it will grab the correct one from the internet, am not sure how i would update this manually in the driver packs either.
any advice would be great.

RE: Windows 7 Deployment FOG- SAD2 Driver tool
Oh yea I’ve done that. I mean do I just leave the section in the unattend file for the product key blank as this ets activated against the bios.

RE: Windows 7 Deployment FOG- SAD2 Driver tool
I have another query.
The company I work for manufactures pcs. All the machines were am trying to implement this are my work branded machines, they are licenced with a oem os which activates against the bios.
I have one of the oem 32 bit disks but not the 64 am getting hold of one. But what would I need to change in my sysprep file as I won’t need a key in there as the oem os activates against the bios.
I don’t know of any of that makes sense but if you understand please let me know.
