    • RE: FTP_Login() Failed

      @JoeCT said:

      I am having the exact same problem. I am using Centos 6.5 Fog 1.2.0. Passwords have all been confirmed. Ftp is working with the fog and fog created password from a windows client, can create, copy to and read from ftp:\images folder. Folder access rights look correct and seem to be working.

      Something is not working after the image successfully creates. Also after the failure under image management I see the image but get a fogftp:login failed username fog Password (system generated password). Error also happens when I try to delete the created image from the image management screen. Image will not delete.

      Hi, Your FTP password in web UI musb be the unix fog user password. As @Wayne-Workman said it, please check https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Troubleshoot_FTP

      I’ve noticed just now the settings don’t have a password set for storageftp user, not sure if that’s normal.
      One last thing I don’t understand

      You FTP password must be the unix fog user password.

      @ch3i Well well well…my last update of this thread:
      I restart the system, restart fog server, restart FOGMulticastManager service, and yes!..now it restart successfuly and let me do a multicast!
      I don´t know if it´s a momentary failure, if it´s my mistake or what. The point is I could solve it. I hope it keeps working! 😞
      Thanks to all of you. If I have nes I tell you.

      Hi, not sure if it’s a momentary failure, but you have the solution to solve it. Please consider to use a recent version of Ubuntu/Fedora/Debian with FOG 1.2 or SVN version (SVN have awesome features and tweaks).

      @nlaplante said:

      @Wayne-Workman ok, tried re-running the installer, no change.
      also sent a disable command for the ufw then rebooted.
      on reboot the tftp seems to have stopped working. I am getting this…

      pxe-e32: TFTP open timeout

      Hi, could you try that : https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/5402/lenovo-11e-doesn-t-pass-menu-screen-on-ipxe/21 @cml has build the ipxe files in debug mode.

      I’m having an issue when trying to upload an image to the fog server, i’m using a dell latitude 2100 windows 7 , i’m using multi partion single disk, part clone. So when it starts to upload Sda2 it has a quick message and then it says uploaded then shutdown.

      Could you try the task in debug mode ? https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Debug_Mode

      On a side note anyone able to get their upload to the FOG server to be any faster than 500MB a min. Painfully slowing the process down. Imaging is super fast getting 8GB a min.

      Hi, 500-700/min is my average speed on my network (FastEthernet).

      Hi there. I´m new on Fog, it´s really nice and useful. I could successfully achive unicast tasks; I can clon ONE host without problem. But when I try to do a Multicast (either with one host or more), the clients boot fine, they pass all the steps, but then they stop at the cloning screen and don´t go on and don´t clon anything. Some kind of help? Thanks in advance.

      Hi, can you check if FOGMulticastManager service is running ? The stuck a Partclone step in multicast is because Parclone wait for data.

      @szecca1 said:

      @ch3i Absolutely, the images will show the storage space node, my configuration to the NAS storage and the image that is on the old storage node that it shouldn’t see anymore

      storage node.PNG new IP changed.PNG old image.PNG

      Image informations are stored in Database, you have to remove it from web UI if you don’t want to copy/back images from your old NAS.

      @ch3i Thats exactly what I did and it still sees the information from the old synology box and hasn’t updated the storage space either

      How it can display the space of a NAS ? Not sure, but I think this feature is only for FOG Node installation (not for NAS). Could you post a screenshot ?

      I wasn’t sure if since the names are the same if I deleted the old one the FOG server will just pick everything up naturally or if I had to do something to get it to recognize the new Synology box. The NAS server does have a different IP address so I wasn’t sure what had to be done.

      Hi,

      If you have the same configuration on the new NAS : IP, FTP, NFS, … you have not to do anymore.

      @ch3i No dice, with updating the client now neither computer renames but it still joins one of them to the domain. I cant tell which one though since they are both using the name from the Unattended which is only a temp name until FOG renames it. I have attached the logs from both clients, they both just reboot over and over now.

      I am also attaching my unattend. Maybe someone can see something I am doing wrong in there. I have been using the same type of unattend for years now and it has never given me a problem before though.fog-Testing-PC.log fog-MCO-Spare.log

      Why fog-testing-PC and fog-MCO-Spare have same mac address ?

      There are some new client revision since the 0.8.4, there are on latest SVNs, not sure if after the update of FOG server you have to manually install the new client.
