• RE: FOG 1.2 bandwidth stuck at zero

I’ve come back to looking at this problem and I’ve been looking at the bandwidth.php file, as I believe this is where the data is collected.

I’ve noticed that eth0 is explicitly referenced. I thought I may be able to resolve this by changing the value to ens32 but this didn’t work.

I have to be close. I’ve checked the dev file it’s pulling the data from and it definitely references ens32. Does anyone else have any ideas?

• Importing additional Hosts using CSV file

I’m running FOG 1.2 and we recently had to clear the hosts as the upgrade from 0.32 caused some database corruptions which meant that many hosts weren’t talking to the server.

We’ve re-added about 150 hosts by performing a hardware inventory on each machine. However we have over 1000 hosts to add.

We wish to add the remaining hosts using the Import Hosts CSV file. What I need to know is, will this remove the hosts that are already registered? And what will happen if we inadvertently import duplicates?

• RE: FOG 1.2 bandwidth stuck at zero

Okay, I managed to use wget to fetch the svn and now I’m stuck on the install. It’s stuck on Copying needed repo…
Is there a way to skip this step? Maybe a way to manually enter the details?

• RE: FOG 1.2 bandwidth stuck at zero

The version we are running is the official 1.2.0 version rather than any svn. Part of the reason is that we have rather restrictive policies here that make getting the svn a right royal pain. Also it’s a live environment which made me reluctant to go anything other than the official install.

Do we have any idea when the next release version is likely to drop? As it’s purely a visual issue I’d rather wait for an official release than risk borking a working environment.

It images fine, both partimage and partclone but there is no visible bandwidth activity on the fog server home page.

• FOG 1.2 bandwidth stuck at zero

When I’m imaging a PC I expect the bandwidth on the home page to show something. However it’s resolutely stuck at zero.

I’m running a Fedora 21 Server with the network on ens32. I’ve checked that ens32 is set in the storage menu. And I only have 1 storage node which is being hosted on the Fog server.

• RE: Operation Not Supported on image deployment during mount
when you wiped the drive does it still have an mbr fog expects a format drive and errors on a raw blank.
I have an ISO image of DBAN on the server to make sure that the drive is properly wiped.

It seems to be working now. Not sure why it failed. Good idea with the phone. If it happens again I’ll submit another post but this one seems to be resolved.

• RE: Operation Not Supported on image deployment during mount

I have managed to resolve this issue. Probable cause was either;

1. restart of nfs service
2. Time was out by 1 hour.
3. Ran CNTLM to enable NTLM authentication.

I have successfully imaged the machine once. But now I can’t image it again. I wiped the drive and now whenever I image the screen flashes past without any indication of error and reboots the machine. No idea what’s happening as I can’t pause the text and it disappears too fast to read anything. Any idea how to capture the text so I can find out what it thinks it’s doing?

• Operation Not Supported on image deployment during mount

I have just migrated onto a new FOG 1.2.0 server and everything seems to work except for deploying images. Whenever I try I’m getting the following error;

Send method … NFS
Attempting to send inventory … Done
Checking in … Done
Mounting File System … Failed

mount:mounting <x.x.x.x>:/images/ on /images failed: Operation not supported

The images folder on the server is chmod 777, as are all of the contents of that folder. The image is imported from 0.32 and has been marked as partimage within Fog.

Build is on Fedora 21 with Fog running the latest available 64-bit Kernel. selinux and firewall are disabled.

Obviously the client is talking to the server but I cannot get it to image.
