@Atton I think I got it. I had two of our Active Directory servers in the network manager but not the third one that handles our DHCP service.

@george1421 My ipaddress is set to static in the network manager. I am using Ubuntu and the AD servers are all in the network manager along with the domain.

@george1421 We have 3 windows active directory servers. I pointed the resolv.conf file to two of them and didn’t get anything. Resolv.conf has since overwritten itself to say 127.0.1.1.

Yes. The antivirus has been disabled for 24 hours along with the windows defender firewall. I was reading and my resolv.conf file only has 127.0.1.1 as an entry. I don’t know if this matters but I saw people talking about it with this issue.

I turned off the windows defender firewall and restarted a computer. The error when authenticating is no longer there, but all computers are still appearing as unknown activity.

My clients are not showing active on the server. All other services such as domain registration and user tracker are working correctly. Interesting, when a computer is first registered it appears as active, but once it is imaged it does not.

The access Control Plugin was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! I didn’t know about the plugins.

A while ago fog had two user levels. A full admin user and a basic user that could only deploy images. Is this still an option that I cannot seem to find, or has this been removed in more recent versions of fog?

I’m trying to figure out how to get .exe files to run using snapins. The only tutorials I can find are for .msi files. I have zipped my file (klite codec pack is what attempting as a trial) and uploaded it using these settings.

When I do this it says it starts installing on the client computer and nothing happens after that. No updates in the fog log at all. When checking the fog temp folder the file is there and extracted. Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you made sure the Fog Client is running? You can check that in the fog log file. If it’s not, open an elevated command prompt and run “net start fogservice”. When I first installed the fog service I had to whitelist it in our antivirus.

Also, I haven’t tested it any other way, but when I put in my username on my server, I put it in as Domain\Username. I also put the same password in under legacy password.

It is now working. I think I found the issue. I was using the Smartinstaller my old server generated. It used the same IP address and hardware, so I didn’t think it’d be a problem.

I’m having trouble with the FOG client. It will not get the security token. I have tried installing it a few times with no luck. Antivirus has been disabled on the test client computer. The FOG server is a fresh install on Ubuntu 16.04.
