• RE: Fog 1.0.1 Bug?

Okay

1. Should be User Mangement, but you can login into fog. No change needed
2. Open a terminal and run this code
sudo passwd fog
Enter your ubuntu password - ENTER
And then the fog password that you use
3. Change the password to that password you use under the Storage Management in FOG
4. Change the value of FOG_TFTP_FTP_PASSWORD under FOG Configuration -> FOG Settings -> TFTP Server to the password you use

Hope that helps,
Good luck

• RE: Fog 1.0.1 Bug?

The value of 9 is max compression and that takes very long. Change it to 3 for example and then the time for compression will be much smaller, that means then the files are bigger, but not much.

If the ftp problem still exists, please take a look at this post

• RE: Fog 1.0.1 Bug?

Could you look which value do you have by FOG_PIGZ_COMP under FOG Configuration -> FOG Settings -> FOG Boot Settings?
This value is the compression factor for gzip. I have this value at 5, in fog 0.32 I think it was 3.

For booting iso files over network that are added to the menu. Take a look at this thread

You could try the kernel from Tom.
64 bit:

32 bit:

You know how to install the kernel?

• RE: Latest FOG 0.33b

Updated to revision 1385. Opened the webpage that shows me that I need to update the database. Tried then to create a image, still the same problem. I checked the table images no column named imageLegacy present.
Should I create the column by myself?

• RE: Latest FOG 0.33b

I updated from revision 1360 to 1384. Did then a few tests and get this error if I try to create a new image definition:
FOG DEBUG: Image: Database Load Failed: ID: 0, Error: Operation field not set: ID
I didn’t have done any changes to the web code or the database.
To find the revision where this error appears, I downgraded to older revisions and it looks like that the error comes with revision 1362.

• RE: Help with creating a PowerShell Snapin

Do you know this tutorial?
http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/how-to-make-a-simple-snapin-start-to-finish.304/

With the help of the tutorial you can make a exe file that contains a 7-zip file and this file contains batch files.

• RE: Help with creating a PowerShell Snapin

FOG can run batch files, no need to create a exe file for that. I however create a exe file If I have more than 1 file to run.

• RE: E7440 kernel

Here is a tutorial how to build a kernel. I had no problems with this tutorial. The messages that apperars, how Tom said are not serious and it can take minutes until the kernel have the right drivers found. I have a PC where the kernel have needed around 4 minutes until it had all right drivers loaded.

• RE: Early install issue / mirror issue?

I am not sure if that helps. You can start the service with
service FOGMulticastManager start
If that still fails, please take a look into the file
/opt/fog/log/multicast.log
A few questions:
Which image type are you using?
Is the machine from that you want to upload the image, a virtual machine? If not has it UEFI or/and GPT?

Edit: Was the last error that with unable to move … to …?

How Tom wrote, you should delete the file, restart the upload task and look if the upload works.

The file name is the mac of the pc, only delete this file. The file named default is the fog boot menu.
