Hello all.
We have started to test a new option. We have purchased a ton of laptops (Stream 11 Pro Commercial Grade) from Hp and they have provided us with Pxe bootable USB to Ethernet adapters.
So far it starts to work however when it gets to "iPxe Initialising Devices… " It just hangs there and doesnt go past.
Any thoughts or advice.
Yea hehe. I know they waited to make deviced thinner but damn it they definitely didn’t think about he IT world in terms of deployment.
what they should have done is developed a new Ethernet port that is thinner and than all we would have needed is either an adapter or new connectors.
I was able to get approval to order a different adapter to try can anyone suggest one. I tried to search but was unable to find a particular one. any suggestions would be grand
I can script in command line mostly, I know a little bit of power shell (Enough to be dangerous)
I can do stuff in linux as well I am not very versed but my co workers do have knowledge…
Did this before and the adapter didnt work with the laptops we got lol.
Is it possiable to deploy a Wimboot Image using the pxe menu.
like script out this.
-layout disk partitions.
-Copy custom install.wim to Recovery
-Apply image
-Set image recovery location to recovery partition
bla
bla
bla?
Still no luck yet with this. lol but I am sure something will come up to ensure its workability.

We have tried this before however HP seems to have issues supporting Other Adapters lol… Plus we get Grants that are specific and in this case was a HP deal so we are getting 40 of the adapters with the laptops lol
Yes I have changed the Argument.
If someone has time I could give a teamviewer code and have someone look at my settings for me… I am always up for help.

Update: Tried some different settings and playing around still have not been able to do this, Going crazy b/c today Ive got 900 Stream 11 Pro’s coming in and i need to start imaging them. I can start using clonezilla if i need but would rather multicast

I have tried on both HP Stream 13 and 11. same issue. I will try with another machine
Edit: I do not have another laptop that has USB to Ethernet Boot Support.

I gave that a try and still no luck…
