      Server
      • FOG Version: 1.3.1
      • OS: windows10
after I run sysprep and capture the image the computer goes through the process the I get the computer restarted unexpectedly error and I have found that if I hit shift + F10 I can change the child completion from 1 to 3 but on the image it captured it is still set to 1 and will give me the same error after I deploy the image. Am I going to have to do this every time I deploy this image? I am working on a Dell Optiplex 5040 and injected the drivers for that model only but have tried it several different ways from editing the answer file to injecting the dell family cab drivers… I am lost please help.

does it matter where I place the commands in the file?

@ryan.mckenzie The lines for setupcomplete should be placed at the end (since once the restart command is issued, the script can’t do anything else).

@Joe-Schmitt ok I believe I have everything correct… Now I am getting a restart loop after the image is captured… Any thoughts on this?

@ryan-mckenzie how many times does it restart? Because it should normally restart 3 or so times (so the client can undo the generalization done by sysprep)

@ryan.mckenzie at this point it’s an issue with how the image is being made (either your unattend file or setupcomplete) before capturing. Could you post both?

@ryan.mckenzie once i changed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\ChildCompletion from 1 to 3 it loaded… Have you had anyone else with this problem? it seems to have saved the image and is loading at the moment.
I need to redeploy to make sure it loads correctly that way or if it gives me the same error.
