Ext4 + raw format = slow imaging
-
I just upgraded from Fog 3.3 to the latest. I attempted to image a VM, which as / ext4 and another fs ext4. Fog recognizes the first ext4 partition fine an formats super quick. The second ext4 partition, it cannot detect and uses raw format and attempts to image that way. Any ideas why? Should I just re-install new? Clonezilla doesn’t seem to have issues with this and I believe the newest fog uses part clone also. (sorry don’t mean to start a war)
thanks!

Are you sure the second partition is ext4 and NOT lvm?

If, im not mistaken its a the root partition / formatted as ext4 , which could possibly be an LVM. I thought FOG 1.x supported lvms no?

First, lvm is not supported as it controls the volume and formats of those volumes under its control.
You’re sure the second partition is EXT4, or the LVM that, for all purposes, is the second partition is formatted as EXT4?
