We’ve got a 200 HP ProDesk 600 G1 Desktop Mini with a i217-LM intel network card and they won’t boot. Message hangs on “iPXE: Initializing devices”.

I’ve already built a new undionly.kxpe with instruction in this thread: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/hp-8300-elite-all-in-one-with-intel-82579lm-ipxe-loading-problem.10932/#post-31557

without succes, anybody more tips on how to get the i217-LM working with FOG?

What version of FOG are you running?

Have you tried any of the other *pxe files as your undionly.kpxe? Have you tried any of the “recent” copies from:
https://svn.code.sf.net/p/freeghost/code/trunk/packages/tftp

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG! Get in contact with me (chat bubble in the top right corner) if you want to join in.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Please support FOG if you like it: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Support_FOG

I’m sorry, should have provided more information:

• FOG 1.1.2
• Ubuntu 14.04

Installation went smooth, no errors. I can ipxe boot to the FOG menu with several other type of PCś (ie DC7900 HP). For now it was the i217-LM based HP ProDESK 600 G1 that’s not booting.

I’ve also tried several different undionly.kpxe including the one you link to but still it was hanging on initializing devices.

However I just upgraded the BIOS of the HP PRODESK 600 G1 to 2.05 REV. A18 Jun 2014
( http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdHome/?sp4ts.oid=6595203&spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3DswEnvOID%253D4061%257CswLang%253D%257Caction%253DlistDriver&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken#BIOS )

And now I boot to the FOG menu… gonna test further now to try imaging.

After the BIOS update the Intel Bootagent version was upgraded from 1.4.10 to 1.5.50. With Intel Boot agent 1.5.50 I can succesfully boot to the FOG menu.
