Fog Server works great, then I upgraded to the 1.1.2 version. Initially could not retrieve my image from the tftp server. Solved, When I upgraded, fog renamed pxelinux.0 to pxelinux.0.old and was not able to locate it.

From the Clients: I can reach the fog boot menu to register hosts, quick image, etc. The Client successfully registers on fog, It creates an active task in the Fog Task Manager, Normally it would start receiving the image from the server immediately after. All I get is text stating “Task Completed, Rebooting”

Note that even if I deploy an image from fog it seems like the client doesn’t have a clue that the fog server is trying to reach it.

You’re not supposed to use pxelinux.0 anymore, you’re supposed to use undionly.kpxe. You’ll need to update that in your DHCP option settings.

To get the old images to work, you’ll have to under Fog Configuration > Fog Settings > General Settings you’ll need to enable “FOG_LEGACY_FLAG_IN_GUI”. Now when you create an image, after you initially save it there’s a drop down to choose it to be PartImage or PartClone. Any new image will stay PartClone, but any old image will need to be told it’s PartImage.

This just solved my issue.
Just upgraded from 0.32 to 1.1.2 and TFTP was all “no way Aieesha, I aint no doin dat!”

Changed the DHCP server options (that i had setup ages ago for .032) and BAMO AIEESHA…
