Cannot stop the creation of partimage files * asterisk doesn't work, howto break image creation?

Hi,

the subject is describing the hole case, i cannot break the image creation.
i tried every key on the keyboard also in combination with strg.

pause and resume shortcuts are working but abort is not possible.
I tried to abort on any computer i tried the fog functions, dell’s, lenovo’s, hp’s…

Any clue?
