PXE boot menu displaying plain text without graphical UI / background in BIOS mode

Hi everyone,

I am encountering an issue with the PXE boot menu when booting clients in Legacy BIOS mode using the dev-branch version of FOG.

Instead of rendering the standard graphical interface (bg.png / iPXE theme), the menu loads as plain text on a black screen without any styling or background, as shown below:

Environment / Details:

FOG Version/Branch: dev-branch

Boot Mode: Legacy BIOS

iPXE File Used: undionly.kpxe

Has anyone else experienced this issue on the latest dev-branch, or is there a specific iPXE build/configuration option needed to restore the graphical menu for BIOS mode?

Thanks for letting us know. It wasn’t really “hurting” things but you’re right that it’s not as “pretty”.

Please update dev-branch again and re-install and it should do what you’re expecting again.
