Image capture stuck
-
Hi,
I’m trying to capture an image from a HP Pro Tower 400 G9 PCI Desktop PC but the process get stuck at 0% and the computer restart after a while.I already captured an image of this computer but now it’s stuck.
I use ipxe.efi as boot file in my Windows server 2012 DHCP.
I have enough disk space on my FOG server and I created a new partclone Gzip image for this new capture.
I can’t find any solutions at the moment…

@ntrumpff17 Can you please clarify what you’re asking for?

@Tom-Elliott I am asking how to succefully complete the capture. What can be the problem in this case ?
Is there a log file that can help me to find out the problem who are stucking the process and where can it be found ? -
@ntrumpff17 I think my confusions stems from the: “I already captured and image of this computer but now it’s stuck.”
You can clean up the existing task and try again, though I cannot tell you why it failed in the first place.
To cancel the currently existing one you can simply do:
- Check the box
- Clieck “Cancel selected tasks?”
- Confirm as required.
We’d need to see what failed in the image capture process to potentially be able to help you.

Each time I try, I take care to erase all active tasks.
I reinstalled smartInstaller on the master with the IP address of my FOG server rather than the FOG server name and now it works!
Problem solved.
Thanks for the reply
