I did have to install php-curl, and now everything is working properly.

Probably a good idea to manually edit the “packages” line in /opt/fog/.fogsettings and add the php-curl to that as well.
Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)
