Extended record needed

I have a lot of old Compaq Evo computers.
They have been reliable for some years, also with Fog.
The Error message : extended record needed is usually solved with chkdsk /f, but not this time.
I have tried chkdsk /f several times, also defrag, same error message again and again.
Is there any other method that can solve this problem??
