New FOG installation and Boot problems
-
Hi Guys.
i have installed ubuntu 10.04 with FOG 0.32 running on a old HP machine.
This is in LAN only, to image machines that are all the same (same HW etc) - they all support PXE boot.so first of all; i do have tftp connection - i can register host, connect to via filezilla etc.
i have tested the memtest boot option and it works, but i dont want to register mac addresses.
jsut connect cllients and multicast image to them. This is what i want:
*connect any computers to the LAN/FOG Server
*No host/mac registration in the FOG gui
*just connect to FOG and get IP and upload/download image files.I have tried to do this, but end up with this screen:

You may want to look at Capone

ok, this looks interresting - but can i upload iamges?

Not sure how it works with uploading but have a read, and at the very least, you can always register the one machine with fog for uploading purposes

ok, read up on capone and it seems like the right thing.
trying to get a master image from a pc, but i get screen resulotion problems - tried to updat the kernel trough the web managment - but i get a error, after âmoving file to tftpâ âERROR:unable to connect to tftp serverâ
update: reinstalled FOG server and was able to updated kernel to 3.3.3.
