    Description

    Hello everybody !

    Here is my problem :
    I can’t change the host name of a machine to a certain value (crn-cr02-19p) in fog interface.
    However, the “certain value” host name is not in the “List All Host” list, but I find that it appears in the “hosts” table (SQL) while the host key doesn’t appear in “hostMAC” table.

    … for the moment I set another value(crn-cr02-19), but obviously this is not the real host name :-(

    I hesitate to abruptly delete the “extra” line in the ‘host’ table …

    Is there a “clean” method for putting the database back into a healthy state ?

    Thanks for your help

    Christian

    mysql> select hostID, hostName from hosts where hostName like '%cr02-19%';
    +--------+--------------+
    | hostID | hostName     |
    +--------+--------------+
    |    394 | crn-cr02-19p | <<--- the the "certain value" ...
    |    413 | crn-cr02-19  |
    +--------+--------------+
    mysql> select hmHostID, hmMAC from hostMAC where hmHostID in (394, 413) ;
    +----------+-------------------+
    | hmHostID | hmMAC             |
    +----------+-------------------+
    |      413 | 74:e6:e2:d7:d0:c4 | ... that i want to link to this machine (MAC address)
    +----------+-------------------+

  • Hello,
    I deleted the record and then I updated “crn-cr02-19” with fog’s graphic interface
    It’s OK
    Thanks a lot !

    run:
    DELETE from hosts where hostID=394;

    Then just edit from GUI or edit directly in db:
    UPDATE hosts SET hostName='crn-cr02-19p' WHERE hostID=413;
