Lenovo E420 laptop won't boot after image

I created a master image ok, using multi-partition option.
When master image was deployed to an identical laptop target, the ThinkPad preboot menu just hangs and nothing happens. Can’t even get into BIOS. Will boot from CD ok.
I wiped that drive with Lenovo’s SDD utility and tried to re-image it but didn’t work.
I have imaged HP and Dell laptops without issue, so what’s the deal with this one? Anyone get this to work or have a suggestion?
