Custom Fog Registration Help

I am trying to create a custom registration menu item. What I am wanting is basically to do a simple registration without any prompts using the $sysserial64 or something similar. I know the inventory scan happens after the host registration but can I move the doInventory before that, or pull the serial number so I am make the host names based on that? I am going to be imaging 10,000 machines this summer and need to be able to be quick and efficient with very few prompts or user input. I want to be able to add them to inventory without prompts and start imaging based on the menu selection I choose.
