When adding or removing a printer from a fog group the group’s fog page only lets you add or remove. It would be helpful if we could see what printers are already assigned to that group. Currently we have to go into one of the workstations in the group then printers to view the device print options.

The only reason this hasn’t been implemented is because it’s very difficult to determine what is on what and make comparisons in a simple manner. As Printers are essentially host objects, managing what group assigned printers vs. the host assigned printers actually adds a lot of overhead to the GUI and system. For this reason we made it so you simply assign/remove printers to all hosts from the group. Trying to figure out which printers were assigned as a part of the grouping (and having the hosts realize this as different groups can assign different things to different hosts as well) is really pretty difficult.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Thanks for the info. Just thought I would throw it out there. We really appreciate all the work the FOG team does for this project.

I’ll see what I can do, where it does something similar to how image association or location association is done. It basically just adds the info based on if all the hosts in the group have the same data. If so, it display’s that in the list, but for multiple items, this is rather difficult to accomplish programmatically, so I’ll see what I can do, but don’t hold your breath too long okay?
