Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Not everything is going to have a tutorial.

Multicast is the principle of sending one file to a mass-group of hosts.

This can be done by creating a group containing you hosts you intend to multicast to.

Set the image to all hosts to that of the same image (make them uniform).

Go to basic tasks from the related group.

            Choose Multicast.

            Submit the tasking.

Reboot, if needed, the clients to have them all link up.

Once linked they should all start imaging automagically.

              Thank you…

So I created a GROUP (testgroup)

on my TESTGROUP groupMenu I open MEMBERSHIP

then I see the list of my Hosts >> I add host1 and host2 to the group

then linked to my sourceImage >> and update

at this stage… I have a testgroup with host1 and host2 as member with the sourceImage linked on each

still under GROUP MENU I click basic task >> then click MULTICAST and submit

I go to TaskManagement and I can see it there as active…

              I boot my host1 and host2 …

its 15mins now I think, it stock on PARTCLONE – starting to restore image (-) to device (/dev/sda1) _

I have a follow up question on this…

does MULTICAST requires a number of host to proceed?? as i mentioned above, i just have 2 test host… and Multicast doesnt happen and stock to partclone…

but now I tried to DEPLOY… then reboot my host1 and host 2… imaging process started…

so if I have 1 - 10 host to image I will just use DEPLOY ?

if i have 10 - 30 or more host to image, I’ll use MULTICAST and it will have no problem?

                Am I correct?

                Thank you

There isn’t a specific number but the total number of hosts in the task, but what you could check is that the FOGMulticastManager service is frunning as well.
sudo service FOGMulticastManager stop
                  sudo service FOGMulticastManager start
